  1. This will never happen: PC User: Macs are shit Mac User: No they're not - Macs rule PC User: Bollocks! PC's are better because (insert reasons here) Mac User: Oh yeah, you're right. Sorry for being so stupid. I'm a PC convert! You will not ever convince a PC or Mac user that your system is better. It's a pointless waste of time and bandwidth. It's all down to personal preference and mine is Mac. I've been using them now for 15 years and probably always will because I feel comfortable with their hardware and software.
  2. We'll be hitting Manchester - armed with video cameras and promise of a prime position to film from...
  3. http://www.skratchworx.com/news/comments.php4?id=204 "Dai Funkified - 02.01.05 - ip logged Nice one for putting this up Gizmo...it's downloading now. I was involved in doing the night so have been waiting to see this for long time. The MC's that were on with Sir Beans OBE are called Clarity & Conrad Watts and all three play together as Wordsworth Surgery (not Numskullz as someone mentioned). They've played at Thekla for Funkified quite a few times. The MC's have also done tracks on Secondson's album, the producer outta Cardiff." IMHO - they rocked.
  4. Trust me on this - Mike is not easily impressed!
  5. The footpedal pitch control deck you're talking about Dylan - is this the PDX variant with footpedal pitch? I think the model Mike is talking about is the Melody - the chord based entirely new design deck - which as far as I can gather is still on the drawing board, possibly at prototype but only in the Vestax Japan labs.
  6. I love the Eternal fader - even more so than the 707 and Rane. When I played with the Pro X Fade at PLASA, it was very light - very much like the Eternal. But seeing as it has tension adjust, you can have ridiculously light or so it's hard to move.
  7. Manchester - http://www.ticketline.co.uk/event_details....0&EventId=32723
  8. I'll be in Frankurt for the 8th and in Manchester for the 20th. Will I see any of you there?
  9. I'll be offering one up in a competition soon. Probably mid April. But I have it here right now.

    IE7

    You should simply need to add it into the top of your html page - mine are in the templete. Alternatively: http://forums.macrumors.com/archive/index.php/t-50459.html Try that - a little different to the code I posted but should work just the same
  11. Cant you just flip the faceplate? I did that on a 360 the other day.

    IE7

    Adding this under the head tag should do it: <!--[if gte IE 5.5000]> <script language="JavaScript"> function correctPNG() // correctly handle PNG transparency in Win IE 5.5 or higher. { for(var i=0; i<document.images.length; i++) { var img = document.images var imgName = img.src.toUpperCase() if (imgName.substring(imgName.length-3, imgName.length) == "PNG") { var imgID = (img.id) ? "id='" + img.id + "' " : "" var imgClass = (img.className) ? "class='" + img.className + "' " : "" var imgTitle = (img.title) ? "title='" + img.title + "' " : "title='" + img.alt + "' " var imgStyle = "display:inline-block;" + img.style.cssText if (img.align == "left") imgStyle = "float:left;" + imgStyle if (img.align == "right") imgStyle = "float:right;" + imgStyle if (img.parentElement.href) imgStyle = "cursor:hand;" + imgStyle var strNewHTML = "<span " + imgID + imgClass + imgTitle + " style=\"" + "width:" + img.width + "px; height:" + img.height + "px;" + imgStyle + ";" + "filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader" + "(src=\'" + img.src + "\', sizingMethod='scale');\"></span>" img.outerHTML = strNewHTML i = i-1 } } } window.attachEvent("onload", correctPNG); </script> <![endif]--> To see alpha in action, check http://www.skratchworx.com/pngtest.htm. I've also taken this code out and uploaded a page as well - http://www.skratchworx.com/pngtest_nocode.htm - I'm on my Mac rigfht now so I don't know if the nocode version is working or not!

    Fuck waiting for Microsoft. The next version of skratchworx uses PNG heavily. Looks gorgeous in everything bar Explorer for PC. I've got some code in there that forces the transparency but it's still not quite right.
  14. I've had mine for 2 years and still going strong. http://www.skratchworx.com/reviews/butterrugsv2review.html

    DJ Yoda

    I was a bit let down at PLASA. I really like Yoda's stuff and he was due to do a set on Pioneer's stand using the DVJ-X1 DVD decks. Sadly, he backed out - I'm told because he feared numerous visits from George Lucas's copyright lawyers. Big shame but understandable.
  16. Ya'll know just how old I am so the older the better for me. I liked Hip Hop when it was more about having a good time and actually being able to dance - even if you couldn't. For me - Big Daddy Kane is the man. And anything that allows me to roll out the lino and feel good about it is cool. Check out "the Freshest Kids" DVD for where it's really at. Oh and hello everyone. Skratchworx up in this place.
