  1. I've seen and tried a lot of DIY methods, this one looks much more promising. Such a simple concept, seems strange that someone only invented this just recently. 80 bucks for 2 pieces of heavy metal, they are making a lot of money on that if they are the only ones that do it.
  2. ^You actually look like your avatar when you talk that way. So much anger... the elves are gonna put an onion in your stocking for sure. I am comparing two live music routines, one is a battle, and one is a live video. I stated that the Fuck You routine was not as good as Revs routine to my ears. I like the grown man music that Rev dropped , I liked the video and music better. I hope that's ok with you dude. Seriously, chill out dude. It's possible to disagree like an adult and show a little respect if you try a little bit.
  3. It's a battle you ratard Whats a ratard? Is that a compliment or a diss? Short for retarded rat? If so, thank you. I know what a battle is, I also know it was not as sonically pleasing as Revs non battle the OP posted. You know, it's almost Christmas dude, Santa still watching you and you been kind of a dick lately.
  4. ^Ehh. I'd say Revolutions routine was much more musically enjoyable then that "fuck you" scratch stuff he was doing. DJ Akakbe thought, "Hey, I know what would be cool! (insert goofy-ass laugh) I'll scratch the words fuck you, that'll make people like my routine." Revolution is fantastic, I'd love to study under that guy because he's a well balanced DJ, he plays the entire gamut and has unbeatable cutting skills.
  5. Last follow up, I found this thread, it has a few possibilities as well.
  6. In this case it's for a PC, but I'm looking for something universal as I deal with all aged computers and types. Tried checking the BIOS for the chipset manufacture age sometimes that's an option, but in this case it isn't. I'll just go by the BIOS update date as my best guess. Tried that command steve, it didn't work on Win XP Home, maybe that's the way the ball bounces with that OS. Thanks for your advice guys.
  7. Anyone know how to determine how many years old a PC is based on its hardware specs? Approximate age will do, it doesn't have to be exact. I've been Googling like crazy, maybe I'm not using the right words, but there doesn't seem to be any one source to help me determine this. I realize hardware specs vary greatly within any given year, but an educated estimate would be nice.
  8. What 2011 Hip Hop albums r u blowin up this year?
  9. Critical does not equal trolling. I gotta love it? Come on.
  10. Simmer down sparky, this is an opinion thread right? I'm not trying to impress you or you me I'm just saying what's on my mind about a fairly forgettable and IMO novelty album. I hate to break it to you but I was addressing the OP Yoshi with the " ^ " symbol, but since you chimed in on fire, I'll reiterate my point that it takes a special someone to able to sit down and listen to an undeniably ADD album as this without getting information overload. If you are that someone, then kudos. I'd rather hear a scratch sample based album that mixes it up with other elements of Hip Hop, you would rather hear D-Styles scratch for 60 minutes straight, different strokes.
  11. ^Be honest, when was the last time you put this album on and listened to it start to back without being completely stoned out of your mind and drunk off your ass just to get to the last song? Even with the worlds best booze and grass, I couldn't do it. Don't deny how specialized and ADD it is either, it takes a special kind of scratch nerd to actually endure a strictly scratch sample based album. On the other hand I like DJ Revolution - King of the Decks even though it has many scratch tracks, because he puts rappers and beats in between them for a thicker sound, so that people like myself don't get bored from hearing 20 minutes of ahhh fresh or other scratches. The turntable is just like any other instrument in the sense that it sounds better when it accompanies other instruments or vocals. I couldn't sit down and listen to a strictly violin solo album or a harmonica solo album either if they were the only instruments on it. And I love those instruments too, they are both essential to the music. Somewhere out there, there is a voilin soloist album that is so fantastic and so diverse it's not missing anything by being a strictly violin based album, but I haven't found it yet. Same with turntablism, there is one or two that switch it up enough to not bore the crap out of me. That old D-styles album aint it.
  12. Why do you guys even rate this old-ass album at all? I've had it since it dropped and I've played it maybe 3 times. You gotta seriously have ADD to listen to it all the way thru, Diggla has it right. Not that I don't appreciate the skills it takes, I do, but it's just not listenable. As far as turntablism albums that I can actually listen to all the way through goes, I'd put Mixmaster Mike's - Anti Theft Device as the only one. Oh, actually I can listen to DJ Frane's Electric Garden of Delights without going berserk too, but the rest of those albums in that class is information overload. You gotta have a special kind of patience to sit down and enjoy all turntablism albums.
  13. Thanks for bringing that up. I have used that software (or something like it) to build the basic XP discs with patches current up to last year. That brings you so far but then you gotta keep burning discs or ISOs on thumb drives and they can be a little buggy in my experience with different systems. I had to use that for my personal system and it worked great because I could add the RAID drivers with the installation, so in that situation it is great. But for my purposes, I'd rather bring a system to a fairly current set of patches, and then bring them the rest of the way with a thumb drive vs. plugging it right in to the Internet and having to play catch up. The nice thing I noticed about WSUS offline is that it also includes Microsoft Security Essentials as well, so you the minute you subject it to the Internet you have some defense. It's simple with a simple check box interface... I've been testing it the last few days and I'm very happy with this freeware, it's exactly what I was looking for.
  14. I might as well follow up on this just to "solve" the question. Anyone looking to update Windows PCs without downloading them directly to a newly rebuilt machine should download the free software from http://www.wsusoffline.net/docs/ WSUS offline does exactly what you need it to do in a simple interface, no unnecessary bells and whistles. For me I will use it to download all the Windows Updates to a thumb drive, that way I don't have to put a security risk PC (a newly rebuilt PC with no security patches) on the Internet. When you do that it instantly becomes a sitting duck. Now I can keep it off the network, plug in a thumb drive, extract all the security updates so that at least it's close to updated, and then I can plug it in to the Internet without worrying about it getting an instant virus. I tried Autopatcher and it was more in depth then I needed so I'd recommend wsus offline for that job. Where are the nerd smileys damint!
  15. Is anyone here familiar with these software packages from personal use? Essentially I am looking for a way to update Windows locally or offline (instead of downloading Windows Updates) after I rebuild the various Windows OSs. All of these software packages claim to do so, all are free, but Autopatcher and UA say they can do Java updates, Flash Updates and other non-Microsoft updates as well. Thanks in advance.
  16. so what rock is on your to-play list?
  17. Mixing with all 45s is difficult no matter what genre you choose, so good luck. Logical progression, build up and tear down, and minimal blends is all you should worry about unless you practice like crazy beforehand knowing what songs actually blend well together. With rock that's a tall order, you will get really lucky if the blend sounds right because the tempo AND the key is right. Realistically you might wanna just play around with basic slam-ins unless you know the music like the back of your hand. Without practicing for hours and hours using what 45s you have, you might wanna think about it as more of a live mezo-mixed compilation versus a live blend mix.
  18. As for the song goes, you are not allowed to "not like" it publicly, I can't handle that kind of rejection from Markee Mark and the Fluffy bunch. Just Kidding, you can dislike it I suppose. But as for your avatar, now that I see your avatar in its proper size, I realize I'm gonna have to change it for you. I got that pic from a Google search and he was doing a weird ass dance but now it looks like he's got a hunchback or deformed shoulder. The kittens are hard to see, it's all wrong. I got a better idea for an avatar based on what little I know about you LOL, and it doesn't involve kittens.
  19. Last night I was on some weird sheet or something because on a whim I made this lil ditty after a few brews with some old friends... I sampled a strange old guitar record for this. Listening to it today made me chuckle, I don't even remember uploading it last night LOL. Short song at: 1:04 DOWNLOAD "If You Love the Sunset" Obviously its not mastered or compressed I guess it was too goofy to even bother, but its amusing.
  20. ...and for the record, kate's curves have been art since the ship went down. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth cambian!
  21. Joshing and jealousy both start with a j. I'll get to yours too dopelkorn, wait your damn turn for feedback you ponk.
  22. Word on what you said. Check this out savwar, you might appreciate this... My studio back wall is my home for my Megadeth Comic Books... Gifted to me years ago by a great friend, I finally made a display for em... and speaking of Metallica... ^That's a great sounding UK Import, nice and loud pressing.
