  1. Was lucky enough to cop a LE DX version when Hard To Find Find Records where selling them all cheap at £399 new To be honest Phonetic I wasn't going to bid on it, just had it on my watch list for purely for curiosity to see what it would go for. But as the days passed it sat on £500 with no bids, it wasn't till the last 24 hours that someone finally put a bid in which is when I thought it might heat up in a bidding war. I was at work at the time of auction and was watching it in the final hour when I noticed no one was bidding on it, was a minute to go and it was only on £510 so I put in a bid in and the rest is history as they say. Thats cool man. I would of love to have a bid on that but was/is a bit skint right before christmas. Plus the missis would of killed me for spooging so much money on a toy for myself haha
  2. No way, I had that in my watch list! Couldn't believe it went so cheap. The last one of them on there sold for like £1200 or something
  3. Hehe. Have you not seen the John Manship video I posted last week Phonetic ? http://www.digitalvertigo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=40380 Stickers on Northern Soul 45's...Bad,bad,bad ! I'm actually quite surprised that old John is even making any videos at the moment as I would have thought he'd be far too busy kicking his cat through the television screen over missing out on the Frank Wilson 'Do I Love You' acetate record !... Haha yeah thought as much
  4. If he wanted to keep with the vinyl he could always sticker mark the cue points. Obviously might not wanna put stickers on your rare northern soul but its an option
  5. Was saving my vote for myself to try steal a last minute victory from Dan haha But I can't knock it. Dan's track was just dope. Kinda sounded like a live band to me. All good entries but credit where its due as per

  8. Was quite an easy fix so I suppose I'm kinda lucky really. Those diodes were incredibly cheap. And to think the only repairs place that actually got back to me quoted at least £30 just for having a look! Everything works a like a charm. Thanks to everybody that helped in this thread

  12. I had another good look inside last night & everything else 'seems' to be fine. Sy, I think that stuff under the capacitors is the thermal paste/glue that Jam mentioned.... I think.
