  1. Not sure but it quickly got 5 dislikes! you're such a music snob https://soundcloud.com/streetcreeps/spy-ft-diane-charlemagne-dusty-fingers-street-creeps-remix
  2. following some thumbs down on a tutorial, I thought I'd post this for the miserable gits
  3. Thanks brother Dopez. - I have better days than this, but he is tough style to get even close to P.S I wasn't claiming to sound like Q, more of a budget imitation! haha I should have not mentioned Qbert in the video title to see if you'd have drawn the same comparison #morescientificstudy
  4. just stick with the withdrawal method and you'll never need to wear protection again. Just be careful you don't get hearing aids. boom boom!
  5. I don't often post junk, but when I do, it sounds like this:
  6. You're in for a Mo cuddle... that's the true prize of this whole victory. good luck in the polands big boi
  7. I would like to add that there is an awesome peri peri shop less than 2 minutes walk from McMason's... But it's further away than mcD's and you'd have to walk past it... that's probably why no one goes. #imamassivetwat
  8. Thanks bro's. I've had loads of set backs, lack of time, enthusiasm and practice. When my inch long papercut heals, I aim to do some better stuff. you don't appreciate how much you use hands/limbs/muscles until they get hurt or go wrong!
  9. rather than tracks (and not really being a hiphop head) I first learned how to scratch by straight up biting Jungle DJ - DJ Hype. I'd listen to the live sets on tape, replay the fuck out them and learn every sound, even the mistakes haha I originally learned with strong hand on record with hamster position because the mixer I had, had line switches that worked opposite to the fader. I also learned how to flare before I learned how to transform, because it seemed logical to get the cuts from the open fader position. It wasn't until getting exposed to dmc, other dj's that cut and my general frustration of only being able to scratch on certain mixers, that i switched decks and learned regular on the fader. I learned how to orbit (2 clicks) after seeing craze perform in london (1998) and watching him pinch the fader. I didn't have a clue what was going on, but I aimlessly practiced pinching the fader until the cuts came through... I later learned these were 2 click flares and they were "pinch orbits". 2 tall taught me delayed flares (not boomerangs) and the closed fader style blew my mind (after I had blown my beans).
  10. here's another old/shit quality video: I can't say I'm any better these days, but they are far more el'naturel
  11. I wonder if it supports an inno? https://www.gumtree.com/p/other-stereo-audio/yamaha-djx-iib-scratchbox/1185252101
  12. can't believe I didn't chime in earlier! haha Left deck/right deck , strong hand on fader/strong hand on rekkid.... whatever you choose, there will be benefits and drawbacks due to hand strength and the angles of the hand on the record. There isn't an easy answer, but perhaps look to those you admire the most and see what they do. If you want a Qbert sound then strong hand on the rekkid (and probably hamster), where as if you want to sound like these modern day cats from europe killing the walking swing flares etc, you're possibly better of strong hand on the fader.
  13. I think he would have the right to get the hump if this is 100% true... however, he has waited a looooong ass time to speak out so it's easy to be like 'whatever'.
  14. I'll be watching this thread! I have a cdx just waiting for this!!!! #jizz #giveyouallmymoney #cdxboner #fingerscrossed #byebyetodirtyrecords
  15. Are your decks up high enough broke? Mine are now super tall and I dare say it's helping to make everything feel more comfortable.
  16. When learning new stuff, I use the muscles either for the first time in that way or just over tense them and they ache. Then I get scared I'm going to end all mashup! Staying relaxed is a skill in itself!
  17. don't ever change sy! I like your 2 click technique.... Never hurts to learn the other approaches though thumb and wrist makes for faster cuts, but yours sound better IMO
  18. what type of music are you playing? mostly p(L)op music. Chart music with a few golden oldies. To be fair it wasn't THAT bad, but in no way good either.
  19. Fuck guys that's mental. To be fair, it wasn't that bad in the end last night. It was my 4th gig in a row, so I think that was a big factor in feeling shattered, but I don't fancy a mega beach rave or a super long wedding any time soon!
  20. I'm more time away from decks these days but the fire still burns. When I get on them I progress so happy days. Sometimes a break is good.
