  4. i hear computers can be left running for literally years. as for me, my computer goes on and off as and when i use it. i don't normally leave it on if im not using it
  5. my experience with FruityLoops wasn't good. frankly i think it's piss poor. in my opinion, if your serious about producing music on your PC and you want good results go for Reason
  6. i just use phono-to-phono. XLR's can't be that much can they? i believe XLR's are earthed and they run the audio signal through 3 pins thus reducing interference
  7. they'll have a field day with The Grey Album
  8. im on MSN but essentially they're all the same
  9. SoundClick the basic package is totally free
  10. i'll give it a go. how long do you want it to be?
  11. i can't get the audio to work... it wont connect
  12. you could wait for Xbox2 to come out but how much will that cost? £300 odd i expect. at £99 you can't go wrong and the Xbox is gonna be good for another couple of years at least (i.e. while you wait for Xbox2 to drop it's price!)
  13. literally every day. cant remember the last time i went a whole day without touching my decks at least once - even if it was only for a quick cut or mix
  14. bwah ha ha ha!! check the guy hiding behind his cushion! his mate screams like a bitch
  15. in my opinion the Xbox is the better bet over the PS2. it has better graphics, a huge hard drive, there's no need to buy a multi-tap, Halo 2!, better DVD player than the PS2. however, you can get some games on the PS2 and not the Xbox such as Pro Evolution and GTA (i think). also, you need to buy a remote to watch DVD's on the Xbox - damn Microsoft...
  16. + can't believe i've still got that SK6...
  17. i spin hip-hop, drum n bass and im starting to get into breaks aswell. also, classic stuff like the police, hendix, dylan etc is always nice to just listen and relax to. it's always good to play a variety of genres. in my opinion purism is bollocks.
  18. ha ha ha! i love those BBC samples at the beginning! i like it. the brass melody is cool and the vocal samples are well chosen and they work well with the rest of the track. nicely produced as well. is the brass part a sample or your own creation? i'd love an insterumental of that to scratch to myself! the only criticism i have is that the intro may be a little too long considering the length of the entire track.
  19. jus heard - BBC news hail Doom 3 as the most violent computer game ever....
  20. yeah, good work G. just out of interest what program did you use for the cd design? i've done some cd designing myself for my media A-Levels and i used Corel Draw. however, it was basic cos i was mostly arranging photo's and text on a template rather than designing graphics.
  21. starwing and mario world on the SNES. they fuckin ruled!!
  22. nice. that tune doesn't sound that dark n heavy at all.
  23. you can do multi-tracking without a computer if your willing to spend a little ££. you can pick up a multi-track pretty cheap these days. this may help - http://studio-central.com/multi_track_recorders.htm
