Agreed, I can do most of the new school stuff but going back to basics and making those techniques sound 'new' again is fun and challenging...that and expanding on ideas for phrasing and overall timing of scratch signatures...not everything has to be at 1/32...more context and less clutter is the way I'm trying to go. Technique asides...I've mostly stopped checking for 'routines' cause they mostly sound exactly the same in approach...nothing very exciting with a few exceptions aside I hope people go back to playing more of what they like and less of what they think others will like. Just my $0.02

Wish I would have left battling sooner but asides from that maybe that I would have invested in serato or pressing my own records for shows...but hey I'm doing that now and in the meantime I already rounded out my skills in other areas...so I guess I'm fairly content.

I was gonna say that...sounds like an ahh pattern more than a drum rhythm...would be cool to hear it in a slower tempo just to show off the pattern more. Tech was clean tho.

Everything goes in cycles. I barely even want to use Serato and if I could press scratch dub plates I would do it all the time so I do get the appeal of digital...but all I know is: If you got into scratching to be popular...kill yourself. If you think battling was/is the be all end all of dj'ing...kill yourself. If you think controllerism > vinyl + turntable...kill yourself. Moral of the story is just kill yourself...or keep scratching and when it comes back around again in terms of progression and popularity you'll be happy you stuck with it. <3

Yes but my phone (Galaxy s) plays them better from the youtube app and not well within a browser...but that's prob my issue rather than yours.
