  1. cool tut! what program did you use to capture the screen?
  2. Ello again, I've decided to change from a per video contribution to per month contribution. I did this because I don't want to charge higher tier patrons 4 times a month when each weekly video is released, so instead I've opted to raise my prices a little for the rewards, but now you only pay once monthly. This should make it a bit simpler for you too, as it removes the need to set a max in case I go mental and upload a million videos and cause you to go bankrupt. I've also added some new rewards, including - Extended loops of music featured in the tutorials for your practice sessions - $5 patrons Downloads to Exclusive TTM notation sheets (which accompany tutorial content featured that month) -$7 Patrons Once Monthly 30 minute Private Screen Capture recorded Lessons Via Skype (+ Exclusive TTM Notation Sheets, Tutorial Music Extended loops & Patron Only Activity Feed) - $20 And as it stands now, the new pricing for the once monthly one hour private lesson reward is now a slightly higher but still affordable $40. Thanks https://www.patreon.com/djchile
  3. cool combo. if im not mistaken it seems to be a phase of the see saw scratch
  4. cool, yeah would be easier to understand with an example
  5. Thanks glad you guys like it, took 3 days to make that video! The scratching was easy, editting not so. Sy, that combo on tinychat was similar to this one but with more clicks in it. The record motion is the same as that one though. Notating stabs, you tend to only notate the open movements as its sort of assumed that you will take the shortest movement route to reset back into position for the next stab each time. I have in the past notated close fader movements mainly just to describe that underneath there tends to always be a baby sort of motion going on, especially with things like stabs. Dubba I really liked your cuts at CSG, your cuts in the battle were sick! I could do with refining what I know a fair bit, I tend to spread myself out a bit too much.
  6. An 8 beat pattern with very few clicks and a lovely wavy sound at faster speeds. The oddity series aims to bring to light some lesser known skrotch tochnoques. If you like these tutorials please consider becoming a patron at https://www.patreon.com/djchile . It will help me buy cheese and toast to keep me alive while I make more tutorials. Patreon is like a digital tip jar that allows you to send a small tip per tutorial release. There are rewards available too, check the page out for more info.
  7. frost you saved my day... had a horrendous evening of computer problems. long story short i was pretty much forced to upgrade without backing up (wouldn't recognise any type of external drive/SD/usb stick and explorer.exe kept crashing).. so now im on windows 10 and all the problems i had were instantly fixed.. didn't lose any files either.. IS THIS A DREAM?
  8. Ello, just put up another goal, at the $200 mark all Patrons will receive my unreleased educational Ebook I made for uni - 'In Search Of The Polyscratch: Theoretical And Practical Approaches To Integrating Cross Rhythms With Scratching.' from the cross rhythm tutorial video series.
  9. Thanks for starting it off Dirk @Sy: I use Sony Vegas
  10. Hello all, So I'm planning on dedicating a fair chunk of my time into a bunch of high quality tutorial videos this year. At the moment each video takes me around 2 days to create. I've decided to try out funding this project through a patron system. You can find out more about it by checking out the following video - If you get something out of my tutorials and would like to support more content by becoming my patron, please check out the link below! https://www.patreon.com/djchile Thank youu chile
  11. thanks guys. If you can do fast chirp 2 click orbits it shouldnt be too hard to do the max speed as the fader patterns are identical, you just have ingrain the different record pattern
  12. very cool, I'd rather have one of these than a Numark PT-01.
  13. Do it! Yeah the eternals are still the same. I think Eclers gone under but you might be able to get a discount off units theyre trying to get rid of if you email them. I got some decent discounts from emailing em in the past although was before they went under.. may work more in your favour since maybe they wanna get rid of units.. or you might not get a response. worth a shot thoo
