  2. questionmark asylum- the album. that one really only had "hey look away". the first ILL AL skratch album. it had come around my way and i'll take her. maybe one or two more nice ones. the first fugees alubm. only had vocab and nappy headz remix. damn. i cant think of anymore right now. i got quite a few cd's at the crib that only have one or two nice ones on it.
  3. this happend to a cat in know with his ttxs. it wouldnt start when the button was tapped. but if he manually spun the platter and then hit the button it would kick in. he had the guy at GC send it in to numark. turned out to be a bad chip. cost him about $90 - $100 (of course this happend after the warranty ran out). i cant tell you if the tables are still up and running cuz he sold them shortly afterwards.
  4. okay mike. i thought you said you was not an electronics guy. sounds like you are to me. and i am an electronics guy. good job. and for the lamens. to make it simple, he just made a focus fader out of his existing crossfader. on and off. thats it. no curve adjust. only the cut in time is rediculously fast.
  5. say xander. arent you in chicago somewhere??? where is this battle? i wouldnt mind going to one.
  6. i dont have what you have. and you dont have any of my mixes. so stop pouting.
  7. all this talk about mixtapes is making me wanna hear some new ones. anybody ever thought about trading their mixes? you know..... i'll send you one or two of mine and you send me some of yours. i like my mixes but i get tired of hearing them sometimes. it would be nice to hear other peoples mixes. hear some new styles. especially since my current funds arent allowing me to purchase any new music, vinyl or cd. but i can afford the $2 it'll cost to send somebody a few cd's. so what do yall think??
  8. good choice selection. everything dosent have to be brand spankin new. i could care less about exclusives. i like for people to actually mix on a mixtape. its okay to blend in the next song at the end of the first one. i like old school and underground hip hop so naturally i dont wanna hear chit thats on the radio. for that i could just turn on the radio. i dont mind hearing a " this is (enter random name here) and im chillin with (enter your name here) rippin up the ones and twos", but not over every song. scratching is great. juggling is good too. but, some people get carried away with juggling on a mixtape. they forget that i actually want to hear the song. i hate mix cd's with 52 songs on it. i mean, you dont have to play the whole song. but can i get more the one verse. and it has to flow well.
  9. i guess i should get in this one. i got: 2 gemini pt2000's stanton sk2f american dj pro scratch 1 cd player ( i do not recomend buying this btw) boss 202 dr. groove drum machine if i can ever get my funds together i wann upgrade to 2 pdx's or ttx's, im still undecided, and a cdx. and for software, i got: dell pc sound forge (cant remember which version. i gotta copy of it back in 2000, so maybe v1) cool edit pro fruity loops
  10. Nice to see ya man, I'm curious though, how did you find our site? Not sure if you remember but i was a Mod at Stanton as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> actually i clicked on the link at the bottom of one of sigmas posts over at DJF. i had joined the stanton forums in maybe the last 3 months of it. i remeber most of yall.
  11. peace. i'm T-Bear. some of you may recognize me from the stanton dj forum. anyway, im 26 from markham illinois (south suburb of chicago). i basically grew up hip-hop. spent some time as a b-boy. spent some time writing graff. i've been spinnin for about 5 years now.
