hmmm.. i didnt consider how that would affect using the spindle when mixing. i pinch the spindle to slow it down slightly. never liked the feel of rubbing my finger on the platter. this could pose a slight issue.

the spindle clamp doubles as a weight for those old warped records. mojaxx did a review and put a concaved record on there and made it playable.

my mind is blown with this table. i hate the price. but i love the features. i can see how the price is justified though. would be nice if they made a stripped down version. I only need high torque and the time code.

its possible that it was never opened up and has 25 years of loctite on the screw threads. try soaking the area with acetone or nail polish remover for a few minutes. a few years ago, i bought a precision screwdriver set that has regular grips on them like full size screwdrivers. those are a life saver, i can actually grip the drivers with my hand and not just fingertips. plus i can put enough downward pressure on a screw when they are on tight. they are by mastercraft. i got them at a hardware store. but there are loads of options on amazon.

yes. someone here did. i had to go listen to the original. but i do remember that flip. i feel like it was part of a beat battle. i think i might have it on one of my old hard drives at home somewhere. how far back does the archives go??? I believe it was a DV beat battle.

in theory it should work. i've had plenty of electronics that ive just soldered a wall adapter to the battery terminals just because i was tired of buying batteries. I dont see a reason why this wont work.

i was playing street fighter 6 with my son yesterday. They have a modern control style and classic. classic being low punch, mid punch, high punch........ the modern is just like 3 buttons. i havent played with the modern yet, but its kind of like cheating. the 3 buttons are just low action, mid action, and high. and i think theres a button for special moves. I start to say, where is the fun in that. but after playing for about 30 minutes i realized my hands are not what they used to be. i cant play fighting games like that anymore. at least not on the console. I can do arcade sticks. but my hands still hurt, and i only played for 30 minutes. maybe i should have chose the modern control style

just got this for my sons birthday. I havent watched him play it yet. I still havent played BOTW. I've watched my wife and kids play countless of hours of it though.

i been finally digging my way thru the Uncharted series that sony let you download for free back in 2020. Im still on the first uncharted. Im enjoying the game. I almost bought a ps5 over the weekend. My son asked for one just to play street fighter 6 with his friends. then we found out they had it on ps4. my wife convinced me to buy him his own ps4. at first i was against it since i wanted a ps5 anyway. but then she said did i really want him and his brother fondling my ps4. shes right, i dont want anything bad happening to my console. and i want to play it when i want and not have to share with them. seemed silly buying an new ps4 but it was hard finding a cheap used one. anyway, i'll eventually get a 5. especially since they are not hard to get anymore.

got hit with some extra stress these past few weeks. I took this week off of work. was supposed to be relaxing and ended up dealing with a bunch a shit. anyway, I pulled out the rotary mixer. didnt have a plan on what i was going to play. I was going to go live on twitch but i didnt feel like looking up the stream key. but i did record it. I went thru some hip hop instrumentals. some funk. some disco. and some house. theres some flubb ups in there. not proud of them but its a live mix. its only on youtube for now.

my wife and kids are big on BOTW. I didnt even know this was out yet. Thought it was going to be called BOTW2 but whatever. eventually we will get it. most likely get a physical copy so everybody can share

i never really considered myself as a good scratcher. I realize that i have my own style thats not technical at all. I've found that most cuts that i hear from others that i really enjoy are the more basic scratches. It really dosent need to go past babies and stabs to be funky. Dont get me wrong, i've heard some amazing super technical cuts. and i applaud anyone who can pull those off, but the simple cuts is what resonates with me. all that aside...... when i turn the tables on, its usually to work on a mix and not practice cuts.

thanks alot man. I put this together for my son. he is 16 and starting to explore other genres of music. I had to reach out and get people to send me stuff to make this mix. I had alot but not a whole lot. This mix was another learning lesson. there are different styles of funk. somebody sent me like 50 funk songs but they are mostly like drum and guitar driven. like breaks. think Eddie Bo hook n sling. or the meters. But what i used for this mix is more bass guitar driven. There may be another volume to this mix later on. theres so much that i didnt use
