  1. When does voting end? I need time to listen through 'em again. X
  2. Also , the Reaper download is fully operational - you pay on a conscience basis if you still use it after the trial expires.
  3. "I think, therefore you ain't....shit" Rene Descartes 1637
  4. Haha! Although Newton did accuse Leibniz of biting his shit.
  5. and plus with Reaper if your original file is not the correct sample rate, bit rate or format you can change that on export.
  6. Also , the DAW I use reaper is quite good for this too. if you have a whole load of files in a project you can export them to a new folder and add wild cards - such as the track name. When I'm editing samples, I have a blank project set up with track names Kick, Snare etc. You can then add these as a suffix/prefix to the files as your exporting.
  7. http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/Screenshots.php I use this one. It adds an option to your right click menus in WIndows which I like too.
  8. I chatted to someone from Big Daddy Magazine , probably somewhere back between 98-00, and they had just published an issue where Craze was talking about how Rob Swift had been recycling the same routines for 10 years. They were dishing out the magazines at some turntablist event and Rob ended up reading the magazine while Craze was in the room - awkward! In retrospective, I guess Craze might have been a little naive about interviews back then and was just giving an honest opinion.
  9. ^ but Eric B didn't do anything though did he? (Apart from walking around like a human safety deposit box)
  10. Eclipse became better technically - but he built on the foundations laid by the others. Rob & Raida were on a par I think - certainly back in 92. Rob was more musical & cleaner but Raida had more body tricks & as a consequence was less clean. Don't forget too the Chief Rock juggle from 95 was Sinista's routine. That juggle & the 'Eric B for president' juggle were the best bits too - he wouldn't of been within an inch of Noize without them in my opinion.
  11. I feel like setting the cat among the pigeons by asking Rob how he feels about Grand Wizard Theodore doing his "old school needle dropping" with a skip proof record.
  12. I must say, I was surprised that notable scratch deejays were arguing on the internet.
  13. ^^ oh shit its not the same guy haha
  14. I like most of the people on that list but still disagree with it! Bink is phenomenal with his one-man cover version performances, probably a better live performer than anyone else on that list, but is he known for making his own stuff too?
  15. Y'all seen this?* This is from the Raiden facebook page. Looks like an Innofader collaboration is in the works! (*Dirk taught me how to speak like this.)
  16. Well at least DJ's will have work for a little while longer. I suspect when the machines rise we'll be first to go!
  17. I think its a Def Jef instrumental. I have the 12" but can't remember the name. EDIT: This is the one I'm thinking of, but it's not quite the same. EDIT no 2:
  18. I don't know about those ones, but I got some generic ones a few years ago that looked very much like the Technics headshell. There were no problems - until they fell apart! I shelled out for the expensive ones next time.
  19. I got hold of a spring reverb tank after reading that article & run it through a cheap little mixer I had lying around. I had good results recording my drum kit to regular cassettes, & pushing the input levels high too. My tape deck is knackered now so I need a new one. :-(
  20. I went with Fayc's beat. The irrepressible Ugh-Factor swung it for me.
  21. Cool. Yeah the Innofader's sturdy feel is so good. I marginally prefer the Rane because of the cut-in.Its a trade off but just about worth it. I have used a friends Pro-X once but it wasn't really set up well. Will have to look into it.
