Pretty straightforward. Just need a laptop, a webcam and a phono to 3.5mm (Better to pipe the audio direct I think). I have a justin.tv account that we can use or we could set a new one up just for Super Scratch Sessions. A new one would be better I reckon, will set it up. Do you have a laptop Cambian (or anyone else coming)? Also, what is parking like? Debating whether to take the train or drive... If I drive I can bring another turntable if needed....

Topic Bump. Im scratching on Skype. Is there a clever way to get both sides scratching over the same beat? We tried playing a beat at one end only but it cuts out when the other party starts scratching. The link to the guide in the first post is broken, any ideas if it still exists? thx.

I am not sure which cuts you are talking about. But there are crabs in there once in a while sorry mate, I wanted to be more specific but I was listening on my iPhone (I love the fact that soudcloud works in the iPhone browser! ) So specifically I mean the sound you make at: 16 seconds 19 seconds 23 seconds 37 seconds etc Are they crabs? This might be related to something else that struck me while watching a video last night. I have only practiced crabs while doing babies. I think that maybe you can get different sounds if you crab while doing faster record movements, (whatever you call those) thx.

Stupid question. Are the very fast scratches crabs? Or are you doing something else? I like the cuts a lot

Lovely mate, really clean and tight.

I used Vaseline and blutack to mod mine. Its lovely now. I also took the lid off and its a lot quieter now.

My missus went away with the kids the other week. I had so much fun with my turntable (which only goes on the dining room table when she is out) that I decided to make somewhere for it. so may i present my top of the range salubrious studio, aka a dodgy shelf in my garage lovely!
