  1. yeah, Garge band is actually pretty good. I was turned off at first by all the little bubbley icons but... It does a great job. It's got a built in auto tune, guitar amp modelers, synths, organs, the whole bit. The program, LOGIC PRO ,is almost exactly like Garage Band. It's actually garage band on steroids. Garage band is worth a look at if you need something clean and easy to do your recording with. Don't let the icons and the fact that it's comes stock with your Mac turn you off to it.

  2. I'm selling a Trigger Finger, a O2 V2 and an FCB 1010, the foot pedal above. All are perfect for what you want. Because you play guitar, if you wanna use ableton live, I would go for a foot pedal. If you are not using it live, go with the other two. I selling them for pretty cheap on ebay Rizz. If you want something, let me know.

  3. So I had a show last night that wasnt good. Wasn't the worst show by far. But, anyhow, a word of warning.

Well, right from the start things were seeming funny. The order of the set got all mixed up and we ended up starting around 10:30, playing to a sober crowd who was expecting a band. I've dealt with that, I always feel like I can win them over if the just give a listen. When I start my set, the levels are all over the place. All my samples were the wrong levels, the compressor from the sound guys board had everything ducking. A couple of times, I just got silence. SO, while I was sleeping last night I figured it out.

I start Freezing tracks. It's a function in Ableton that is suppose to help cut down of cpu processing. Don't do it! When I froze the tracks it helped cut down on cpu process but it also changed everything. I got up this morning, un froze my tracks and everything is back to pristine shape. So if your using Ableton, stay away from the freeze!!!!!

  4. those controllers look handy man, you would of thought they could make one that emulates vinyl and still be pretty small tho.

its nice when theres decks set up and you can just bosh along with ur backpack, bet itd be nice with a controller to have that feeling all the time!

Yeah, when Jordan says "i gotta unload" and then he shows back up with his laptop and VCI in a towel under his arm I wanna kick him in the balls! he takes that thing to work to do mixes on his breaks. Talk about "the Breaks!"

  5. I am just digging around on my hard drive for acapellas for a show on the 15th. Any body got some good ones they could post up. I looking for top 40 stuff. American Rap. It's for a 90's party. I could still use newer stuff.

  6. one idea is a korg nano kontrol and a cheap and cheerful, no frills 49 key keyboard. should be easily under a ton all in. it depends on how you want to use ableton- but that combo would sort you out for both production and live duties on the cheap.

ON second thought. He's prolly right. The Nano Control is a good starter tool. Cheap!
