  4. It's a bit messy, but meh.
  5. It's not like I'm a rapper or anything, but I felt kinda nostalgic listening to this song. It's great storytelling. I grew up listening to hip hop and dressed like Pimp C while everyone else was listening to Evanescence and Avril Lavigne or some other shit. I miss those days. Anyway, a friend of mine asked me to take him through the history of hip hop so I've been revisiting everything from Kool Moe Dee to Onyx to Latyrx. I now realise how much I've missed since I started listening to electronic music and dance music in general (not that it's a bad thing). Hip hop will always be my core. No amount of IDM or DNB or whatever can change that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wXeYD6R1X8 Then again, it could just be the oestradiol making me feel emotional right now... Were YOU a hip hop kid?

  10. From 1:45 onwards, D is repeating a 2 click orbit. But... it doesn't sound repetitive at all. Why? Because he manipulates the pitch well. Also, he uses his amazing tears to bring in the relevant sounds ("say" and "what") as he wants them. Damn, I gotta practice...
  11. don't think i can make this one...

  15. Last month, I met up with Dissonance and Spidermonkey for a reunion session. I didn't film much at all, in fact very little. But I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. Getting used to the new camera, bit by bit.
  16. can you make it longer than 1:17? (rule #1)

  18. waiting until someone breaks the tie...
  19. Agreed, excellent round! I went for Flarez.
  20. What I propose is that each person choose a beat of their choice for the juggle, but must mention the name of the original track so that the audience can fully appreciate (and judge!) how creatively and imaginatively that person is flipping the beat. This way, I won't have a problem with people using Serato, since I would know that the beat is not programmed to make the juggle easier; and no time is wasted in "voting" for the beat of the month; and no money is wasted for people who don't have that record and therefore has to purchase it new. And yes, no buttons please.
