  1. Did you watch the video? It seems fake to me.
  2. I'm still on Windows 10 cos my hardware doesn't support 11. I could use workarounds to install 11, but looking at it, I don't know if it's worth it. Are any of you guys using Windows 11? Do you notice any big improvements over Windows 10?
  3. Season 6 starts on Thursday this week, which brings a new support hero called Illari who kinda looks like a support version of Pharah, a bunch of PVE-based story missions, a new PVP mode called Flashpoint, 2 new PVP maps called Suravasa and New Junk City, a new mode called Hero Mastery which looks like it also teaches you how to play characters, a new co-op event called Underworld, as well as a new battle pass which features a bunch of new skins, emotes etc. to unlock. It is the biggest content drop for the game yet, so I'm excited to play it! The only real negative is that the new PVE content is not free, so you'll have to buy it, but I expect it'll be around $10-$15, so not too pricey. Trailer: -
  4. It seems you don't need to use that clamp when playing real vinyl, but you do when using DVS. Also, the friction adjustment knob that's part of that clamp sits inside an outer ring section, so you can grab the outer part of the clamp and twist/squeeze it like you might with the spindle when mixing. I reckon you'd adjust to that pretty quickly. The step pitch feature is cool too IMO. In the video I posted, he's using a real song, so it leaves you thinking "what's the point?", but if you're using a locked tone or a musical sample, you'd be able to get pitch perfect notes.
  5. I remember that Maniac song due to it being in Flashdance, but I'd never have been able to name the singer/songwriter. That "remix" is fucking dog shit, lol. Never heard that before today!
  6. Maybe you guys all know this already, but I had no idea until yesterday that this song features Chas and Dave on bass and lead guitar: - 2:09 onwards being the sample for Eminem's "My Name Is". It's just so weird to me that those guys played on that track, cos when I hear their names, I think of shit like this, lol: -
  7. I wonder if you have to use it. That would definitely be a pain when doing a real vinyl set. If you set it at a certain position, I wonder how well it holds it. Also, some people use the spindle when mixing, so they'll twist or spin it, which obviously you can't do with this thing attached. I would rather the adjustment for that mechanism be underneath, so you set it and then leave it. Then they could have had a magnetic 45 adapter that also works as a clamp. That said, I'm a bit confused as to its purpose. In 2 of the reviews I watched, the reviewers made out that it was for adjusting the tension of the platter, but in Mojaxx's video, he doesn't mention that at all and implies that the control on it is for adjusting the clamping force for warped records.
  8. I installed it and signed in, but I haven't used it yet.
  9. Feature-wise it looks great, but £1,200 each is too much IMO! Video review: -
  10. The Android version of ChatGPT was released earlier. It requires you to sign up and verify your phone number.
  11. Looks like a nice piece of kit and only £600 too. The presenter of that video has lost a shit load of weight!
  12. I bought Army of Ruin earlier. It's very similar to Vampire Survivors, but with nicer graphics. Like VS, there's a ton of stuff to unlock and upgrade, and upgrades to your stats are permanent and carry over to future play-throughs, so over time you get stronger and stronger. If you played VS and liked it, I'd definitely recommend picking this up. It's a little more expensive than VS at £6/$8, but that's still cheap for the amount of gameplay you'll get out of it.
  13. I just finished Figment 2: Creed Valley. It's an isometric action adventure game with light puzzle elements set in the human mind. It's really creative and features some great original songs/raps. It's not a particularly challenging game and there are no selectable difficulty levels, but it's a lot of fun. It's pretty short at 4-5 hours; I beat it in 2 sittings. Once you've completed it, you can go back and replay levels if you want to mop up any missing achievements/trophies. It's just been added to Game Pass on Xbox, so if you have that, give it a try! It's also available on PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC, although it supposedly has some performance issues on Switch. On Xbox at least, it's very polished and I didn't notice any performance issues nor bugs. It's another example of a game I'd likely have never played if it wasn't for Game Pass, but it's a real gem IMO.
  14. I reckon it will, cos it comes with a 3 pin adapter cable so it will work in Reloop mixers, which implies that without that adapter, it should work in other mixers.
  15. I dunno if that's the track or not. It was haych3 that said it was made using the Foster Sylvers tune, however, Chris, who was the one that made it, said it was made using a cover version of "Everybody Plays The Fool" by The Spinners. I'm guessing it's probably it and the 2 songs just sound alike, although I can't find the version of the song by The Spinners; only the OG version by The Main Ingredient. Unfortunately those particular battle files are no longer on the server. I'm not sure if I have them on a DVD somewhere. TBear did re-upload them at one point, but the link is long dead.
  16. Later this year it will be replaced by a new service called Xbox Game Pass Core. That service will give you online multiplayer, exclusive deals and discounts, as well as access to around 25 Game Pass games. These are the games that are confirmed to be part of the service at launch: - Among Us, Descenders, Dishonored 2, Doom Eternal, Fable Anniversary, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Grounded, Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Wars 2, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Human Fall Flat, Inside, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Psychonauts 2, State of Decay 2, and Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. So, it's basically Xbox Live Gold, but instead of Games With Gold where you get a couple of games included per month, you will have access to a library of around 25 games instead, with games rotating in and out every now and then just like they do with the "full" version of Game Pass.
  17. I don't remember one. I know that's not much help, but I feel like I'd have remembered it if it was someone from here.
  18. Dope! How did you end up working with this guy?
  19. Some video game voice actors are upset that they've been replaced by AI, cos it can replicate them almost perfectly. There's already been a major ruling about copyrighting voices (i.e. you can't), so I guess they're fucked. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the law changed, cos if any producer can make a song and put "feat. AI Mariah Carey" (or whatever) on it, if it's indistinguishable from the original artist, I can see how that could completely fuck up the music industry, and in the long term, the movie industry too.
  20. Libation is by far the best tool I've found for downloading your Audible audiobook collection, if you'd rather have your collection in DRM-free MP3 format. It's free and open source and can download and convert your audiobooks to MP3 on the fly, including downloading high quality artwork and tagging downloaded files for you. If you have a huge library, there are search and filtering options, and overall it's simple to use and does everything you're likely to need. It's available for Windows, macOS, and Linux: - https://getlibation.com/
  21. If so, what box are you using, and are you happy with it? I'm looking into getting one, but there don't seem to be many new products on the market. The Humax Aura is still recommended by some as the best choice, but that's 3 years old now. Every year I haggle with Virgin Media to get a discount on my monthly bill, and usually I get a pretty healthy one, but I've heard that they're cutting back on offering such deals now. Once my current discount ends in October, my monthly bill will more than double, so I'm looking for alternatives should I not be able to secure another discount.
  22. Nice one, @JHouse! I couldn't remember that guy's name for the life of me.
  23. An author tried using ChatGPT to help brainstorm a side-plot for a crime novel she's writing, but it kept coming up with shit like this: - And this: - Fucking sigh.....
