  1. Hmmm, I checked the forum settings and I can't see why it's not letting you, but I uploaded the file to MEGA for you: - LEFT CLICK
  2. He replied already and sent me what you need: - cdxr62.zip
  3. I have emailed him, so if he replies, I'll let you know. Welcome to DV!
  4. Good shit, Ed. Is someone gonna rhyme over it? I edited your post to embed the player.
  5. This has been rolled out to the masses now. Currently there are multiple stages to the warnings. Initially you get the warning message I originally posted above. If you ignore that, the next one you get is the same, but with a timer before you can dismiss it. If you ignore that, the next one tells you that you have 3 strikes, then you will be blocked from watching videos altogether. If you use up your 3 strikes then, as the warning said, you are blocked from watching videos altogether. YouTube are being quite aggressive with their detection methods and for the last few days they've been updating them around 5 times per day in order to combat updated ad-blocking filters. So far, the creators of uBlock Origin have been very quick to update their filters to get around each detection attempt, so it's a cat and mouse game at the moment.
  6. The size and weight have been reduced, for example, the model with a disc drive is now 358 × 216 x 96mm in size, compared to 390 × 260 × 104mm for the original. The removable side panels are now in 4 parts instead of 2, with the upper panels being glossy and the lower ones being matte. The console will only be sold in white, but you'll be able to buy replacement panels in various colours from Sony. What's kinda cool is that the Blu-Ray drive will be available to buy separately for $80, so if you buy the all-digital version and want to add a Blu-Ray drive to it or your Blu-Ray drive breaks and needs to be replaced, you can. You just remove the lower side panel on one side and the drive just clips into place. That's only an option for these new revisions. There's a new version of the vertical stand, which they are selling separately for $30. That will work with the old PS5 models too. They have also marginally increased the internal SSD size from 825GB to 1TB. The model that comes with a Blu-Ray drive will be $500, the same as the disc-based model now, but the digital-only version will be $450, which is an increase of $50 over the current model. They'll be available starting next month and will replace the existing models, which will be discontinued.
  7. What don't you like about it? I don't like the way it makes you do practice laps before races in the career mode - I wish you could skip that. The sound of collisions is totally unrealistic - like something out of a video game from the 90s. I also really didn't like how sometimes you would do a side-on collision with a drivatar and it was like you were glued to them, so you couldn't steer away from them and they would drag you off the track. The graphics didn't blow me away either. I used the regular performance mode, but graphically it's not even as impressive as FH5 IMO. It was hard to tell if the crowd was moving/cheering or not at times. All of that said, once I played through the initial (rather lengthy) tutorial section and unlocked the main menus, and I disabled several assists that were making it feel like I wasn't really in control of the car, I was quite enjoying it. I'll give the online racing a go today at some point, but if it's full of rammers and dickheads, I won't be surprised, even though (to their credit) they've put warnings in the game about the code of conduct. I've never been a massive fan of the mainline Forza series though, so I kinda knew this wouldn't be for me, but I can't see big fans of the series being blown away by this tbh.
  8. Last night I checked out Bramble: The Mountain King, which is currently part of Game Pass. It's an action/adventure game with some light puzzle elements based on Nordic fairy tales and myths, with a theme that often delves into horror. If you have Game Pass, just play it. It's great. I'm not gonna say anything more than that cos nobody reads this shit anyway, but if you can play it, do so, as it's excellent!
  9. I haven't tried this yet, but it looks good: - https://dearrow.ajay.app/ It's from the author of the excellent SponsorBlock (mentioned above). It replaces clickbait YouTube video titles and thumbnails, so for example, a video titled "I bought ten of the weirdest phones ever!!!" might be renamed to "Reviewing old phones with alternative form factors", so rather than having to click on the video and play it to see what it's about, you can see it from the title. The main downside to it is that he's charging $1 for it, rather than making it free, but if it's shit, you're only out a buck.
  10. Yeah, but I'm not surprised by it. For almost 2 years, the Series X was hard to get hold of, while the Series S was available constantly. Also, there's a lot of people who just don't care about the power difference, or don't fully understand the difference between the X and S. If MS are still in the gaming business 15 years from now, I would be surprised TBH. They fucked up repeatedly at the absolute worst times. Now that digital lock-in is a massive factor, unless they do something REALLY disruptive, I can see them cutting their gaming division.
  11. Yeah, it's hard to tell how big that Series X will be. You'd think that with not having to fit a pretty big Blu-Ray drive in the case, they'd be able to make it a fair bit smaller, but cooling is another big issue. I don't think the current Series X is that big really. It's the PS5 that's feckin' massive: - I wonder what the PS5 Pro will look like, cos that's due out next year. It's interesting that only Sony are going for a mid-generation power boost this time, especially as MS liked to tout the "world's most powerful console" talking point for the Series X, which they won't be able to do once the PS5 Pro is out.
  12. These leaks come from official MS documents that were part of a court case, but were improperly redacted. This is the new Series X design: - It's interesting that they're going all-digital. That seems like it's gonna piss a lot of people off, if there's no version of the Xbox that has an optical drive. That said, there have been rumours that they're going to sell an external optical drive as an add-on, so we'll see. It's hard to tell how big the redesigned Series X is, as there's nothing else there to use for scale, also, it look round to me, so presumably you can't lay it down flat like you can with the current design. There will also be a Design Labs version of the Series X. so you'll be able to choose from various colours etc., just like with Design Labs controllers now. The Series S design is staying the same, but is getting tweaks/improvements: - This is the new standard controller: - I like the changes they've made here. It has a rechargeable battery, but one that isn't sealed in so you can easily replace it. The thumbsticks are modular so they can be replaced if you get stick drift. Hopefully they don't price gouge with spare parts (they almost certainly will, lol). The controller is scheduled to launch at the end of May 2024 for $69.99. The Series X redesign will launch at the end of October 2024 at $499, and the Series S will launch at the end of August 2024 for $299; both of those prices are the same as the current models.

  15. Tonight I've been playing The Crew Motorfest, which is the third in Ubisoft's "The Crew" series of racing games. It has a 5 hour trial where the only limit is the 5 hours of play time and if you decide to buy the game, your progress will carry over. It also has both cross-platform play and progression. They have clearly been heavily inspired by the Forza Horizon games, although that's not a bad thing. This game is set in Hawaii and while the map is not gigantic, there is plenty to do. Often, driving around Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 can feel like you're driving around a ghost town, but you never get that feeling with this. The game is split into themed playlists and there's plenty of variety. Unlike FH5, this isn't just about cars and trucks - although there are tons of cars to buy and customise - as you also get to drive motorbikes, quad bikes, planes, and powerboats. I don't think cars handle quite as well as in FH5, although admittedly, I've played that WAY more than I have this, but all of the cars I've driven so far in Motorfest feel a little on the twitchy side with some over-steer. I'm playing on Xbox Series X and performance is excellent. Graphically it looks great too. The soundtrack has been really good so far. Like FH5, a lot of the game is story-driven and there can be some annoying commentary going on while you're racing, but thankfully they give you a ton of customisation options, including a bunch of different volume sliders, one of which is for that commentary. If you like open world arcade-style racing games, it's definitely worth a look IMO, especially as you can take advantage of the 5 hour trial to get a good feel for what it's like. It's available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows, and Amazon Luna.
  16. I'm really starting to fucking hate Microsoft. Yesterday was "Patch Tuesday", so I updated Windows 10 and immediately after rebooting I got a notification saying I could play some game (I can't remember exactly which one) via Game Pass - an advert. A little while later, I got another similar notification. They have added something called "Suggested" to the list of apps that can send you notifications and if you don't disable it, you'll get hit with a load of ads. I launched Word, cos I needed to print off a document. In the app itself, there was an ad promoting the mobile version of the app, which I dismissed, then a second ad advertising OneDrive, which I already use as I have Office 365, which I also dismissed. Finally, I went to play Forza Horizon 5 on my Xbox only to find it needed a pretty large update. Once it was done, I launched the game, exited my home and started driving, and literally 3 seconds later I was met with a full screen ad for the upcoming Forza Motorsport, that put the game on pause. These motherfuckers have literally ZERO respect for the people that use their products. A recent update to the Xbox turned the entire home screen into one giant Game Pass ad. I just don't understand the "people will hate it, but most won't switch anyway!" approach. Make good products/software and I'll use them. That's it.
  17. Laziest of Days by Mista Ed Good shit man! Very chilled.
  18. At the time all we had to record with was a boombox that had an external mic, so over the years I ended up with several tapes filled with me and my mates just messing around and, on rare occasions, trying to actually make a proper track (which this is definitely not an example of, lol). Fun times for sure.
  19. I was going through some old files and I found this. It's terrible, but I thought I'd share it for a laugh. All 3 of us are called Steve, so it's Steve on the human beatbox, Steve rhyming, and Steve cutting. 😂 I was scratching on one of these hi-fi systems with one speaker unplugged, so the balance slider worked as a fader, along with a paper slipmat, which goes some way to explaining why the cuts are wank, haha: - Paid In Full LOL.mp3
  20. Only in short bursts. Since it went free to play, the number of griefers, throwers, trolls, AFK players and quitters has increased considerably, and there is seemingly no punishment from Blizzard for any of it, despite there being a reporting system built into the game. Also, the matchmaking is still pretty bad. When the teams are balanced and everyone is playing the objective, it's one of the best games I've ever played, but the fact that that happens so rarely now just adds to the frustration, so I'd rather just switch and play something else.
  21. Sounds like a typical MS product in recent years. I'm likely gonna stick with Windows 10 until support for it ends in October 2025. BTW, @TBearOne8III, you can turn that news/weather thing off by right-clicking the taskbar and choosing "News and interests", then "Turn off".
