  1. Yeah still not done a "Souls" game, but i agree I'm not sure I could bang my head against a boss fight for hours.
  2. Seriously these guys are taking the piss. https://www.engadget.com/technics-sl-1200m7l-annouced-specs-availability-130059818.html Now I've got to buy 7 more fucking turntables. Or 14 if I get pairs.
  3. Yeah that's OK. The general rule is that if I can't see the egg, it's fine. To my knowledge I've never eaten a whole visible egg (fried, scrambled, boiled etc).
  4. God damn wizzerds. A woman I work with is shitting herself with excitement at this game. I've made a solemn oath never to engage in anything Harry Potter related, in the same way I refuse to eat eggs. No particular reason, just how I roll.
  5. Horizon Forbidden West OBVS. If you liked the first one, you'll like this. Although it does look pretty nice, there's definitely a few little graphical glitches and stuff. It's not as slick as something like Last of Us 2 in this regard. I'm taking it slow, doing all the extra side quests and stuff. Everyone is wanking on about Elden Ring, anyone played it?
  6. I believe in you Dirk, you can do it. It should work, as in nothing will blow up. Can't remember what the signal flow is for the 909 on the sends/returns.
  7. I like the lack of central spindle, I still catch my hand on that on my Rane and it fucks me RIGHT OFF.
  8. I am so ready for this. PS5 hasn't done much for me yet.
  9. I've maybe used one a couple of times, back in the rare times decades ago that I DJed in the wild - but I never got on with tilted / angled equipment. It's a nice use of space but I always found it awkward. I guess you'd get used to it. Or it's because I'm a midget.
  10. I feel like 2021 has been a bit of a washout for me. Unless I've forgotten games I've played. No mega decent PS5 games, mostly playing rehashed old games.
  11. So it looks like my brother is getting his kids a Series S for Christmas. They're also coming to mine for Christmas, so maybe I'll get a bit of Yuletide Xbox action going.
  12. Hak320 was my first "favourite" mixer. Still miss that horizontal rotary EQ layout. I remember buying 10 of those Tascam XS-4 rebadges from the States for like $50 each. Still struggled to sell the fuckers in the UK, probably lost a bit of money.
  13. @Clownstyle I weren't lying....my Spotify 2021 wrapped....
  14. Not sure why I keep buying this sort of crap, but ltd edition tape on D-Styles Bandcamp.
  15. Decent enough news, but it's not going to make the fuckers much easier to fix, unless the tools are magical. I remember failing to fix an iPod mini once upon a time. OK I'm not the most skilled electronics whizz but holy moly fair play to anyone who can legitimately fix something like that without destroying some of it!
  16. Well I got my bundle in the end, stupid twats don't even know what they have in stock. They still have some of the vinyl / T-shirt bundles with XL tees in stock at the UK. Looking forward to the 30th Anniversary edition in 5 years time.
  17. I guess Bring Forth The Guillotine is probably UK Hip-Hop, just seemed to be played in raves of that era alongside acid house, hardcore etc.
  18. Definitely plenty of rave music (early 90s) will have scratchy noises / samples in.
  19. I do think there is a natural aptitude / genetic component - but most people do not practice enough or compete at that kind of level for where that will be the deciding factor. The average person putting in 10x the effort will still likely smash the natural lazy genius. I see this with running a lot (OMG the Reddit /running sub is painful). People claiming they are at genetic disadvantage for running. These fuckers are not elite athletes but they reckon they can't run quicker than a 10 min mile because of some poor genetics. No, you're just overweight and out of shape. You might not make it to top 0.1% of competitors but these people aren't doing the volume or correct type of training they need to even find out.
  20. I think I'm pretty talentless when it comes to music and natural aptitude for scratchy hands. However, I am a big believer in the idea that practice makes perfect. But my regret for scratching is that I never practiced "properly" and never focussed on improving specific skills. So I've spent thousands of hours on turntables but mostly meandering around not getting better after improving for a few years in the late 90s. It's never too late to sharpen the skills but I haven't got some big drive to do it now.
  21. I did contemplate it, as they were giving away Bose headphones if you pre-ordered by yesterday. But I dunno, Pixel 4a fucked me off a bit and then the whole thing smashed when I dropped it. So Google went on my shit list.
