  1. I've booked the release day off work so I can get stuck in.
  2. My recollection of all famous DMC finals routines is not perfect, but the Brace one is definitely a favourite. Buruaaaa is possibly a bit too mental / hectic for me but I can respect the skillz. Craze always seems so ridiculously comfortable, a sign of a true master IMO. I'll give a shout out to the old forum monkey Vekked. What I liked about this was Vekked's scholarship of the battle scene and that this set is perfectly constructed to win. It was finely honed to cover every base expertly and have broad crowd appeal. To me it was a very "smart" set and delivered the goods. Like someone well prepped for an interview or something.
  3. I rarely get the overwhelming desire to cut, but some of that is having the Rane One as my primary set-up. It's good enough but not as fun as a Rane Twelve or proper turntable. I need a bigger house / studio.
  4. Monoxide stuff was WEAK_SAUCE (Kev) back in the olden days. A message board legend.
  5. Mmm this could be my new hobby. Building a mini PC.
  6. Yeah I've never been a laptop kind of person, and no need to move around inside or outside the house with one. So it does seem a bit pointless. Plus the monitors with USB C hubs built in are £300 extra. Fuck that. Any recommendations for companies that can build a quiet small form factor PC?
  7. I'm computer-y enough to know the main pros and cons of laptops vs desktops. But I'm currently mulling over an upgraded 2x 27" 4k monitor setup, and you can get ones with USB C hubs built in. It has made me wonder whether a nice clean setup using a laptop and single cable could be a slick switch. My desktop is 8 years old, no gaming or significant processor usage. General internet, bit of programming, occasionally Serato or audio editing. Currently only using 150GB on my SSD Windows drive, 600GB on my 4TB spinning rust slow drive. So my storage needs haven't changed much over the last 5 years either. Money no object obvs.
  8. I'm going to buy this to annoy militant trans rights nutters
  9. I was going to come in all superior, but realised I'd missed out the crucial 1/3 on the 33 rpm. GREAT JOB STEVE.
  10. Interested to see exactly the implications of this. My account is logged in at my mum's and my in-laws, so 3 residences. I do already pay the top tier multi-screen option. Strictly that should mean multiple screens (4) in the same geographical household, but feels a bit cheeky if I'm only using 3 and they get too worked up about it.
  11. Yo numnuts I have some limited edition gold Pioneer PLX-1000N turntables and a matching limited edition gold DJM-S9 mixer. Never used. Cost me £2656. Yours for £2650. Lemme know. The only issue with that Vestax is that it has no inbuilt soundcard, so you'd still need a compatible audio interface. I know nothing about these gadgets nowadays, or Traktor. If you could snag a Z2 on the cheap it'd be OK. I think if you wanted a new Serato compatible all-in-one mixer thing the cheapest you can get is a Numark Scratch (https://www.juno.co.uk/products/numark-scratch-2-channel-dj-mixer-black/735865-01/)
  12. You know it's hard to remove these right?!
  13. I'm on an ancient desktop (Intel Core i7-4790, 16 gig RAM) and nothing too weird happened.
  14. Just installed Serato Dj Pro v3 with Stems. The technology is pretty impressive, not sure if it's any better than other people's implementations but it has got the element of magic about it.
  15. God of War Ragnarok in about 4 hours 15 mins. Though I'll actually be asleep.
  16. I buy as much as possible via Bandcamp, seems like it's the best / easiest way to support artists. Someone will tell me it's a scam now.
  17. I feel like I read something that suggested it would be a free update, but that might have been wishful thinking.
  18. Looks like Serato is getting ready for their own real time stems creation thing. Assume it's one of those new fangled neural network jobs. I'm sure they'll do a nice job implementing it. https://youtu.be/Tn7D6wzf8MM
  19. This is a fun vid, but tells me not much about what the update to the software really was. Some of us old nerds need facts.
  20. Yeah I've never had a faultless experience with my Google phones, neither have any relatives. I don't have any other Apple gear I use otherwise I'd probably go for an iPhone.
  21. Yeah I weighed it up but went for last season's Pixel 6. It arrived today. Fucking massive as you might expect. Can't get excited about a phone anymore, it's nice to look at a non-smashed screen though!
  22. Bump. My 4a screen is fucked and I'm feeling rich. What phone to get? Standard Pixel 6 is discounted at the mo. Can't face an Apple, Samsung or random Chinese phone. So.....?
  23. Fuck I didn't even notice that. But I'm a numbers guy I suppose.
  24. The fact that the judges scoring table doesn't put DJ D in numerical sort order is very distressing to me.
  25. I mostly hate mobile versions of websites, so I force the desktop version on my phone and end up having to squint and drag the screen around to see things. Still suits me better than the mobile version.
