  2. Usually you will not learn the actual name of the person at that IP address (e.g. Joe Smith). ISPs will typically only release such information under a court order but you maybe able to get a location out of it from some where like here but you may have to sign up?otherwise try googling it

  3. Microsoft has released a Windows Vista performance and tuning guide which spans across 14 pages. We can only but wonder why it took so long for MS to release this, considering the number of performance woes many users had with their Vista installations.

Tips and tweaks mentioned in the guide range from making changes to the default power plan to disabling unneeded services. Although there may be several hundred sites that have posted the same tweaks much earlier than MS, this guide is still worth checking out.

Click here to download the PDF version of the guide directly from Microsoft servers.

  4. I'm in two minds about which way to vote. 4 is mad funky and the scratching is really good, but I think I'm gonna go with 2 because the production was very good and you used the samples to good effect. Props to all the competitors though!

couldn't of put it better myself!

This last week saw the destruction by Transport For London of a famous mural by the artist 'Banksy', near Old Street tube station (as reported by the BBC on the 20th April 2007). While most graffiti is poorly executed and lacking in conceptual merit, more effort should be made to recognise those whose work makes a positive contribution to our culture and environment. Works such as the 'Pulp Fiction' spoof are thought-provoking and entertaining and have gained international recognition. If the government is serious about encouraging the creative sector and regenerating urban areas then they should encourage councils to preserve public works of art such as these, perhaps by preservation orders or grants to maintain the sites. Bristol City Council have realised the value of murals by Banksy and their more considered approach should be considered by other councils across the UK rather than the authoritarian approach usually favoured by our local government bodies.
