  1. Pressin' buttons pretty much summarizes people today.
  2. Haha, yeah, that was the one that did it for me, too. F'ing great.
  3. That was a clean routine. I listened without watching, 'cause I think that is the true test, and yeah, it was pretty tight. Nice work man.
  4. Word. I guess most juggles just don't sound clean to me. I'm talking everybody, even the supposed elite DJs. I got respect for it, just don't like it, if that makes any sense. Like, I can respect the skill involved, just don't like the end product. Which sucks 'cause I think juggling can be really dope, but the timing is usually off and the record burn and mistimed backspins make it sound janky. Again, this is my perception of most juggles in general. For what it's worth, I've heard a lot of you cut and you guys kill it.. Peace. Peace.
  5. I gotta be honest, I didn't like any of the juggles. It seems like there's too much focus on technicality than musicality, so it made it tough to listen to and appreciate. Not recording direct, thus hearing the faders, didn't help either. Not trying to hate, just giving legit feedback. For what it's worth, I feel this way about most juggles, even Precision's. It's all way better than what I've ever done though, so I got respect for all your skills Oh, and where are the backpacks?
  6. I totally agree with Z Trip. I felt the same way, but now, I guess it's all about getting people to dance. Girl Talk accomplishes this and then some. For me though, I like the danger. Actually, I f'ing love it. I'll still listen to Girl Talk and other laptop DJs, maybe even see them "live," but I'd much rather see someone like MMM kill it.
  7. I had serato for a bit, but didn't really like it. It was mad handy and all, but the sound...sounded like shit. No matter how I changed the levels, it was just so tinny. All the bass was gone. Hurt my ears. Plus, I think it distances me from the real thing. So I sold it and went back to vinyl, and damn, it sounds amazing. Kinda like using a condom, then riding bareback. F'ing great. Still though, I use digital sometimes, like with an APC 40 and vinyl. And, well, chances are I'll get Traktor 'cause there are tons of tracks I want to play that aren't on vinyl, like some Bieber ish. By the way, I think mp3's sound way better through Ableton than they do in Serato. Also, it just doesn't look right when a dj is staring at their computer screen during a set. For what it's worth though, Serato was a lot of fun and it's super stable, it was mainly the sound issues...
  8. Nice clean patterns, well executed. Translated: sick.
  9. Yeah man, nice cool cuts. Was feeling that for sure.
  10. Strong precise cuts, with some nice patterns in there. Nice work. It would be cool if you could record your audio directly, but regardless, the cuts still come through...just not the beat so much.
  11. Nice nice, thanks for all the input. Yeah, I figured I'd have to add those cork sticker things since that's what my old MPC 500 needed, too. But, it made a huge difference, and I didn't have to beat it so hard (ooooh). Actually, I could do it lightly, especially if I turned up the pad velocity. So, if that can easily be fixed with those corks, and it's a pretty decent unit, I still my get it. kut_class and Rock Well bring up a good idea though in just getting two separate units, Maschine and a cheap midi keyboard. That could be cool for portability purposes too, like just putting my laptop and Maschine in backpack and taking off to the coffee shop. My concern with Maschine though is everybody is getting rid of theirs around here, but they could just be quitters. I know a lot of people do it with tables, 'cause, well, it actually takes time and effort. Eh, I'm still open to more feedback. I'm looking to buy something of this nature in the next month or so or sooner. May check out some Korg options. Thanks.
  12. I'm thinking about picking up this keyboard, namely 'cause it has the built in MPC pads. It would be great to bang out beats, then immediately work on the keys. I think this will allow for quicker production, plus let me truly express oneself (e.g. myself, haha) on the fly. Anybody have it or tried it? What are your thoughts? I've found several used around here for about $300 to $400 US. Peace.
  13. If spammers and hackers were hung up by their balls, in front of the whole world to see, this ish would stop over night.
  14. Yeah man, very well done. I like how you incorporated it all together, too. That's the perfect set up right there...limitless. I can't wait to get an MPC again, and eventually a foot pedal. I feel like how one can really go off with these tools, and really express theself. A keyboard would probably be the icing.
  15. Definitely skratching, but also mixing, trick mixing, juggling, and otherwise just dj'ing. The more hands on, the more I enjoy it.
  16. Okay, I'm assuming it means Super Skratch Sunday...
  17. Done and done. Looks like I'm right by Goonie, here in So. California.
  18. By the way, I really liked the TTXs for skratching, juggling, etc, but not so much for mixing. I had a really hard time keeping the mixes locked (long electronic mixes) and thus kept trainwrecking, so I sold them and went back to Techs.
  19. The TTX1's are notorious for frying 'cause the motor is covered up on the bottom, preventing it from breathing properly. The TTX's have a vent, so it can take hours and hours of use without overheating.
  20. Yeah, a little sloppy like you mentioned, but dope nonetheless. Man, I want to get a loop pedal.
