  1. I don't really know what to do there stax. Something isn't right here: -

O23 - Service: Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\

    O23 - Service: Automatic Updates (wuauserv) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\

Both of those services should be running from C:\WINDOWS\System32.

Hit Start then Run and type "services.msc" without quotes. Do you see more than one Background Intelligent Transfer Service and Automatic Updates on the list? Whether you see just 1 of each, or if there's 2 of each there, right click on them and choose Properties, then on the General tab, look at the section where it says ":". If the path doesn't contain System32 (i.e. the file is running direct from the Windows folder), then enable the viewing of hidden/system files and hunt down the executables in the Windows folder and upload them HERE. I have a feeling those services are the cause of your problem, but if they are, this is something new that I've not seen before. The rest of the log appears to be clean.

thanks, i knew it was something to do with bits, in the services Path to executable it says %fystemRoot%\System32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs, which im guseeing is normal appart from the 1st bit which says %fystemRoot% starts with a f insted of s, in the widows dir there are no files called bits or anything like that or wuauserv, im reinstalling dll files so hopefully that should fix it

  2. please help my comp is uploading through services.exe at full speed all the time

  5. has any one hered of revconnect? thats what i always use

revconnect.com is where you download it from.

when you open revconnect for the 1st time you have to share some files (about 5 gig) the more the better, you have to share files to connect to the hubs

hublist.org is where you add the hubs from.

the more users in the hubs the better

its the fastest download program ive ever used and its the only one ill probly use ever again

  6. its just set up in my room, i guess i just want to use it live, am i right in thinking that cubase can trigger all the sounds on the planet phat?

to record i would use something like wavelab or cool edit, ive got an akai sampler but im not gonna bother getting it out until ive got this sorted.

the way i want to use it is so that i can open cubase, press record, record the midi notes (sequence :s or whatever) then play them back using the planet phat to play the sounds, all cubase is used for is to record midi sequences which will be small (less then 1 mb) midi sequence files

  7. hi i need help , ive got a planet phat sound module link with the usual midi i/o (in, thru and out) and i have a midi keyboard with midi out (no thru or in) also i have a midiman midisport 2x2 midi to usb converter and a laptop running cubase.

i am using 1 midi cable to connect the keyboard to the planet phat (midi out to midi in) and 1 midi cable to connect the planet phat to the laptop (midi thru or out cant remember to midi in)

in all i have 2 midi cables

the problem i am having is that i cannot get cubase to trigger the sounds on the planet phat, the only way i can play the sounds on the planet phat is in real time using the midi keyboard.

do i need a midi out connection from the laptop to the midi in on the planet phat (thats what im guessing)

someone on here must know how to set it up

please help, it took me ages to get all this stuff out of the loft and it will take twice as long to put it all back :(

    nice one

    andy

  8. Dammit i dont want to buy half life 2 but it seems like a good game, hmmm maybe i will

walk into asda (or sumwhere they dont put the games in seals) get your phone and record a voice memo of the keycode, aslong as you can open the box (and it isnt a dummy box) the keycode will be there stuck on a little bit of paper.

thats all you need to play! (well you do need to know some one with the game 1st, or you could download it)

  9. thisreally works me and all my friends did it!

get the game, install it (sum one has to own the game)

you cannot play or even install with out a valid keycode, so your supposed to buy it. but, the smart people at valve (or whatever) put the keycode on the inside of the dvd case, so walk into asda (or sumwhere they dont put the games in seals) get your phone and record a voice memo of the keycode, aslong as you can open the box (and it isnt a dummy box) the keycode will be there stuck on a little bit of paper.

some poor sod will by the game tho and it wont work :( but yours WILL !!! so fuk em the mugs, let them pay for it.
