  1. That's the plan, I've seen a couple of serato ones i'd like to try out I saw the Roland ones, then saw the price! That's good to know, I'm a tester for Maschine and the development for that seems to be progressing nicely. I'm guessing new hardware will come with version 3 like you say. What's your set up?
  2. I've got my Twister mapped to some stuff now, working well so far - still running in demo mode. The S8 looks nice, i'm not sure if i could be without platters at all tho! Looks like it's a few years old now, might hold off to see what they bring out next. Is there any word on version 3 of the software? looks like it's been on version 2 for a long time. Serato does have a lot more choice when it comes to controllers it seems, shame you can't fully test out the software without one. Think i'll have to take a trip up to Leeds to play with a few
  3. Very far! i may have questions for you! I've got a Midi Fighter Twister and that has a mapping for the sequencer, i'll have to check it out! Thank you! and i think your right I never thought about RekordBox! You just gave me a thought, making my own stem tracks.....oooooooooooohhhhhhhh
  4. After a loooooooooooooooooooong break I want to start mixing again Techno. I like the idea of using 4 tracks, looping and layering other stuff on top etc I’m looking at controllers rather than decks , the Reloop Mixon 4 looked almost perfect but doesn’t have EQ kill ☹ Traktor seems like it was designed for this sort of mixing and the remix decks look really interesting, not sure about the controllers and the interface looks like it can get cluttered fast, I do have a discount voucher for NI tho. Serato I used years ago when it was still Scratch Live, am I right I thinking it doesn’t have a software mixer like tractor does? Does the sampler come close to the remix deck? What’s with the add ons? I really like that it stacks the waveforms. any advice?
  5. Dunno if it's of interest to you but I've got a MK1 Maschine that i don't need anymore, I'll have to double check but i think i'll have the licence for the software as well. say £80? + P&P (that's with decksaver)
  6. I found something called cut and paste records but it seems really sketchy
  7. I just got a PT01 Scratch. I mainly got it for sampling but i wanna give some cuts ago. What 7" should I pick up?
  8. I haven't tried the sound card yet, I'm going to try it over Christmas (can't be arsed to replug everything) Rock Well - have to tried the Gold Baby stuff? it's really nice! Dooban - won't be selling it, I like to switch between Maschine and Live
  9. Only had a few hours on it but i'm very impressed so far, I've had a MK1 since 1.6, didn't bother with MK2 or the Studio It feels as well made if not better than push 2. You really can use it without the mouse and keyboard (a part from naming your saves/tracks etc) This is HUGE for me! I'm really happy with it so far, it feels like a very creative tool again. I really like Push 2 and i thought with the updates it's getting with Live 10 it would feel much more integral to Live than just a controller but it doesn't. Maschine MK3 almost feels like an instrument. One negative i have found is that in some modes one of the screens is woefully under utilized
  10. I now live between Sheffield and Chesterfield (ugh) and I couldn't tell you what's going on at either on them.
  11. is there any point buying the X if you don't have a 4k / HDR tv?
  12. Midi Fighter twister? no faders but knobs and buttons in one
  13. This is what I don't get with people (the NI forum is toxic with it) it's a drum machine, it's a great drum machine, it was never sold as a DAW. It's only 8 yeas old, and in that time it's had loads of features added. Live is 17 years old, it didn't get MIDI till version 4 and there are still improvements to be made to it. I had a go with the beta when it had audio tracks and it didn't feel right, they didn't fit in with the work flow properly (maybe this was on purpose, who knows). Haven't had chance to try the audio module yet.
  14. I've always thought this would be nice (but very niche) thing as a plugin or standalone sampler. Loads of scratches and patterns pre-made for dropping samples on to - just like an instrument library. Isn't that what "The Bridge" does/did?
  15. I haven't tried it for a while, I think anyone can sign up
  16. They are working on audio tracks, it's been in the beta a few times.
  17. I'm really interested in this, got a MK1 and was thinking about a studio for the screens. This looks like it could be used without almost ever looking at the pc or grabbing the mouse. Which is what i really want. I agree with you Chris, i really like the Push 2 but it just doesn't feel as integrated with the software as Maschine. there been a few times where I've wanted to do something on Push and had to look it up only to find out it's can't be done from the hardware. The Machine software isn't perfect but it's not too bad. What i don't understand is people (mostly on the NI forum) that seem obsessed with Maschine being a DAW, it was never meant to be and i wouldn't want it to be.
  18. I love it! spent a few hours with it last night. I won't be needing to buy the MPC Live now. Going to throw a load of samples into it tonight. Chopping up samples is 1000x times better than BM2. On a few forums there's people moaning as they were expecting it to be a Live / Maschine killer......... for 20 quid. Need to get a few AU's to try with it now
  19. I really like it, very intuitive!
  20. Reading the audio bus forum has been amazing!
  21. But where will i upload my half finished beats?!?!
