Cheers mate, it's fucking shit. There was already redundancies about 6 months ago and now it looks like there is more coming. It's the not knowing that's the worst, I've been put on "flexi-furlough" so I'm only working half my hours now. Been at the company just over 15 years but it's a small manufacturer that mainly does aerospace work and as there isn't much air travel the orders have tanked. The One was going to be something nice after a wank year - not seen much of the family and girlfriend has been working crazy hours (NHS) - looks like it'll have to go on hold.

Had to cancel the pre-order, things are not looking good at work. I can't drop 1300 quid when I might be out of a job in the next few months.

I really like the MC7000 but I really do miss the feel of vinyl but like i said above I haven't got the space for a proper setup these days. I've looked at the S4 a lot but the software is falling behind and it seems NI have lost interest in it with the recent shake up, there was rumours they wanted to sell it off and A&H was interested but there's been nothing else about it.

Order is in! Estimated delivery date is currently 3rd-4th Feb.

This is perfect for me, I have a Denon MC7000 and it's really nice but I miss the "feel" of vinyl but I just haven't got the space for a full set up. I'll be getting one of these.

So it turns out that these XMG Laptops are rebranded "TongFang" laptops from China. A number of companies rebranded them as their own (PC specialist is one of them). I also emailed their "audio support" early last week and still haven't had a reply so i won't be getting one of these. Deft, if it's any help I ran Serato my old work laptop which is a Dell Vostro with an 8th Gen Core i5 and 8GB of ram which loads of shit running in the background and it seemed happy.

Playing Forza 4 and No Man's Sky No Man's Sky is is great so far, it's the sort of game you lose track of time, one minute it's 7pm the next time you look it's gone past midnight.

The problem with social media is it gave everyone a voice and 99.9% of people are cunts that don't deserve to be heard. But they get into their little echo chambers and suddenly think there opinion is right. Take flat earthers or these cunts that think 5G will kill them or anti vaxxers. And reddit is just full of shit, no rules they bring in will ever fix it. I follow a couple of subreddits for hobbies I'm into and they are great (small subs) but any time I browse "all" it makes me sad for humanity.

I've never had an issue with my WH-1000XM3's on my iPhone (6s and now new SE) and I have it set to sound quality. Girlfriend has just got me the WF-1000XM3's as an early birthday present to replace my Cambridge Audio Melomania 1's. Will report back when I've given them a proper test but first impressions are they sound really good, lots of bass. They have EQ settings like the WH and can have noise cancelling or ambient sound but strangely you can't "optimise" the noise cancelling like you can on the WH version.
