i had the youtube catcher but it's not really working anymore, even with the updates. what are some of you guys out there using?

i can't really figure out how to use this. i made the output container avi, output codec wmv7, and output audio as mp3. everytime i ecode the files i get an error. and i'm also running it through the avast sandbox if that matters

thanks man, i mad appreciate that. yeah my drums are off the mpc but i feel you, sampled drums sound nice. just tryin to do something different with like old soul samples with hip hop drums with just the right amount of cleaness. drums are too clean tho, need to add more grit in there.

thanks for the feedback everyone! yeah i'm not liking my drum sounds right now, i need to chop some new ones. i used to have nice drum samples years ago when i first started but i lost them when i had to reformat my computer. i'm still learning mixing so hopefully i can get that down and improve my drum game. usually i'll layer them with record crackles but there's only so much i can do unless i get my mixing down. i'm not feeling any of the kicks i have in my library either. on another note randy, 9th wonder? wow that's a compliment to me,i appreciate that! i'm not trying to sound like him but i really do like his beats tho. ayo symatic, thanks for the suggestions. i was thinking the kill bill sample was way too played out and no one would like it. and yea i want to put some cuts in there for sure. i was going to add a lot of instruments and sounds to it and make it a west coast joint but i think i'll just keep it simple and leave room for an emcee and some scratching. wax, i bookmarked the decimort plugin so i'll get it in a week or so. for now i'll see if i can find it online somewhere and check it out.

i'm taking music theory right now as a matter of fact. i've just started about 2 months ago but i'm really learning a lot. i have an ear for music since many of my relatives are musicians. the problem is i couldn't figure out the correct keys to construct the progressions. as for sampling, i usually figure out what key it's in and only use a piece of the sample. but lately i've been going back to my roots and making beats using most of the sample. ayo kian, i just copied and pasted your comments to my music notes lol
