  1. from the synths you posted, i'm currently using massive, sylenth, and zebra. i'm really interested in the fm and camel audio. i'm currently looking for razor as well. i'll ask about the effects in due time, that's what i'm really interested in too
  2. i need to start getting plugins for my mix too, i've just been focused on getting vsti's and totally ignoring my mix. i want to learn to make that dirty bass that i hear in dnb but first, can you help me achieve that sound that's in the lead synth of that song "party rock"? another example would be that lead synth in the verse of neyo and pitbull "give me everything"
  3. good lookin out with this bruh! ima bout to study this. this is going to help anyone else with their synth game. hopefully this information will get mine up. i'll be back with the questions, for now thanks again for posting this man.
  4. sounds good bro, that reminds me, would you share me some tips on messing with synths and creating effects? what are some of the vsti's you use?
  5. and yea, dood is sick on the scratch hook. i think red jacket is dope too at at scratching sentences. i used to know some other doods that were dope at that too but i can't recall at the moment.
  6. scratch sentences are not your forte? i won't believe that yoshi, that's exactly what i need for the chourus of my beat. just add a few more samples to make it sound more dynamic and that's it. if you have time, i'd appreciate it if you can do that for me. i can't pay you now but every time i lease that beat, i can give you a forty percent cut. maybe instead of the chorus i can make another version with a scratch hook. thanks for showing me a little example of what you can do on it. i preciate that, real talk.
  7. i just lease the sampled beats, i don't know where or who said it but it's understood that it can be used for mixtape purposes and three commercial uses. as for getting the samples cleared, the golden rule is to leave it to the buyer to clear the sample if he wants to release it. i know that seems grimey but it's just how it goes. and yea tom, i agree about the dubstep and drum and bass they got on rocbattle. i'm a little educated since i love jungle and my a lot of my friends are all dnb heads. you got to understand most dudes on that site that make dubstep are not really dubstep producers so they don't know the basics and proper formula to make real dubstep. i have no doubt that if you came on that site, you'd have the dubstep crown every month and a lot of people are buying dubstep too since it's becoming more mainstream. check it out man.
  8. i couldn't even finish that crap, did he at least throw a chirp in there or any type of scratch? it looks fun to mess around on tho
  9. ten bucks for leases and exclusives are negotiable. too bad i haven't sold any exclusives yet. my numbers on my keyboard are broken so that's why i'm typing em out.. actually a lot of people make a living just selling leases. the top three sellers on rocbattle make at least a thousand a month just selling non-exclusives. i haven't sold that many beats but in total i've made a little more than five hundred just from leases. mind you that i've been selling beats for a whole year tho lol. one day i hope to be able to push out a beat a day, then i can really get my catalog up and my skills up as well. i can give you some sites that can sell your beats better than rocbattle if you're interested.
  10. thanks yoshi i appreciate that bro it's all good vekked if you use serato. i'm being too picky since i'm just looking for simple cuts on my joint. i just want everything precise with no issues like latency. i'm not a regular serato user but i heard there's still a slight latency that you can feel. i wouldn't know cause i only tried scratching on my friend's serato and i couldn't tell shit because the speakers at the time were way too loud with no reference speaker.
  11. it said dood's entry is from the philippines so it probably didn't cost that much to get that qfo modded. i bet it'll only last for a month. shit here may be cheap in price but it also is in quality.
  12. that's for sure bruh and there's no way to do it on serato or digitally because of the slight latency.
  13. whatever you think sounds suitable on the chorus. i was thinking some sentences would be straight. some big l, nas, az lines would be dope. whatever has something to do with the title of the song and if you have any records that have that line, "act like you know" for the last bar of the chorus.
  14. it's rocwilder's site to battle and market your beats. it's been around for a while. i bet you can sell your beats there man. also it's where i learned most of my production from listening to other producers.
  15. i hope i find someone too, to love and to put some cuts on my beat. i'm still not sure why my fast track interface won't work with acid pro
  16. so sick wax, do you ever go on rocbattle?
  17. the jungle book routine was sick as fuck. you hurt my feelings with that diss intro tho. i'm going to have nightmares now
  18. There are still freestyle battles but they've definitely taken the sidelines for this style of battle. In my mind they don't really replace one another, they're just different formats that work better under different circumstances. If scribble jam came back the acapella style pre-written battle still wouldn't be as good as a freestyle battle for those purposes. the pella battles haven't replaced freestyle battles, i know that. i was just saying that they get mad love unlike heynuts was sayin. a lot of people say that thesaurus killed freestyle battling cause of his premeditated lines, but that's another mystery unsolved
  19. ok i don't know any of those people but you can catch wreck on my beat sweetheart. i should've figured that dooban, one can only hope tho
  20. anyone down to record some cuts on my joint? i would but i still can't figure out why my interface isn't working.
  21. i think pella battles are dope. i don't know what you mean by they don't get any love, notice how there are no more freestyle battles like scribble jam, spin the mic, rap olympics... maybe they don't get much love from backpackers but check out url/smack dvds. they got bigger crowds than grind time and kotd
  22. that would be coo if ya down. but i need some scratching on my shit, and i know everyone in this forum is can cut dope
  23. I need some cuts for the chorus of my beat. i don't have my tables hooked up cause i need a new interface. anyway here's the beat. I already know yall will kill it http://soundcloud.com/jusebeatz/act-like-you-know
