  1. does it write the bpm to the mp3?
  2. nice, thanks. now all i need to do is quit my uni course to actually give me some time to scratch over it.
  3. That's a perfectly good argument, but i've not heard the track so I can't really comment. I generally find southern-fried hip hop is a crappy combo of aggressive and simple for my tastes, a good portion of which is identified by homecounties embarrasingly easily. Tis hard to beat the mid-90s underground NY banger for headbang-a-bility though!
  4. Unless nabbing the mp3s leads to buying the album its generally gonna be the professional artists that lose out though, it's their creative efforts that is the only thing thats being taken. I reckon that the extra recognition gained by artists from d/l'ing pirate mp3s isn't likely to be a real artists for them compared to the potential loss that they face from internet bootlegging of an album release. Can see it leading to increasing prevelance of POP!
  5. Frank Zappa & The Mothers album download here although at best 192kbps from emusic. I do agree that choice is generally shit though. Its different for people who want to DJ legit with SSL, Final Scratch etc though. As I only use mp3s I don't give a shit about the artwork of an album, i'd rather pay less and just have the right to download and play the music. As for the quality of legit mp3s, i've generally found that mp3s at 192 are an acceptable quality for listening and playing out.
  6. I argee there has been a massive improvement in the last year in terms of choice, but for the bitrate of 128 is mindless, why would anyone want anything less than cd quality? Also i think the prices are still expensive for uk mp3 sites (£8-£10) compared to us (10$ = £5 at the mo) for albums. Its not like they can have many costs apart from licensing, (which shouldn't be a problem with record labels own sites) and hosting.
  7. now fúcking bring on the decent old, new and true-school hip hop legal mp3 sites. The market is nowhere near as good as it should be and i want to remain a legit dj by using legit mp3s! I wonder how much it is to buy the mp3 rights for obscure and less known sorta stuff....
  8. ex stanton user here as well, although i joined it not long after the plug was pulled so its likely ive posted and DV2 a lot more than i did with that.
  9. Your mate looks fucking unstable in that first pic chile. very VERY funny!!
  10. Cheers for posting that track phology that's some dopeness. I'm gonna buy the album as soon as i find it for legal download. While I'm in a thread relating to MCs who are also DJs, has anyone checked J-Zone newest album "A Job Ain't Nuthin But Work"? I've seen that available and im a fan of a lot of his previous stuff. Any opinions on it?
  11. wav is fine for me, can be put straight to use with the final scratch loop function! How come you didn't put a snare in? Thanks nevertheless, i'll be sure to use it when practising cuts...
  12. My name on slickbeats is: Snatch Who'd you reckon the best x-man is. TT'list-wise, not marvel/capcom cum-hollywood blockbuster movies.
  13. Both KMD albums (Mr. Hood and Black Bastards) Masta Ace - Take a Look Around Das EFX - Dead Serious Artifacts - Between a Rock and a Hard Place Cunninlynguists - Southernunderground
  14. anyone else thing that out of everyones little bit in that jam shadow rips it up most? methinks so...
  15. im not liking him so much on that one compared to previous vids, probably cuz the last one i saw of hm was the one with ISP and Melo-dee. what was the screensaver thing in the background sposed to be doing d'ya know?
  16. Before I had any musical taste of my own the first album i bought through the influence of listening to my brother music was Nevermind by Nirvana, and back in the day I listened to quite a lot of britpop and indie - Oasis (first two albums only), Blur, Space, Pulp. Then jungle/D&B took over in sync with experimenting with chemical substances.
  17. percy's flow liquid-shits on finesse, but finesse is clevererer with his. The P-Meister takes it.
  18. mentalist amazingness. I've done a scratch practise with that beat a few months ago and you've shamed it.
  19. That "now and then" album looks far superior to my piece of crap, no fair! is ALL of "perceverence" gonna be produced by madlib? I'd prefer if there were at least a couple of guest productions in there...
  20. Did you come see him in Manchester the other night for the disrupt massacre tour? Fucking ace he was, better even than Wildchild or Oh No. Afterwards he was selling his album "now and then" by the bar - black CD-R and nero burned artwork I bought it and got him to sign anyway. My fave track on the Cenobites LP is either "you're late" with Perce, or "Keep On".
  21. Either do that or get Final Scratch. It's got key correct so no matter how far you change the pitch, with that on the note is staying the same.
  22. General Chaos was quite an orginal game format for the megadrive, I dunno if anyone's ever played it. My fave oldest old skool games in my memory are: Kung-Fu (simple but brilliant) Wrath of the Black Manta (ninjarific) Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (needs no explanation) Defender of the Crown (you could JOUST I tell thee!!) All on the NES. Ah those were the worry-free days...
