  1. Interested to know how you get on here, as I'm getting really paranoid these days about backups, and was thinking of employing a tablet as a back up in case my Mac dies in public. Might even buy a shit dj app just for emergencies.
  2. does anyone remember where it was originally from? i might have the source of it somewhere
  3. Anyone going? Anyone going to the IDA the night before? Might just head over for the DMC on the Saturday.
  4. Here's another for you STEVE!!! although i'm pretty sure you'll know it straight away I have known it before but cant remember.. Also it's your fault as i was looking up german djs from the early 2000's to try and find out who the muscly chap is... 20 seconds in, the 80s track with the whistley chorus.
  5. interested to see if you solve this, let me know how your research goes. i've a pdx 2000mk1 that does this randomly. if im juggling and go too hard on the platter, it starts to go backwards then it'll go forward and back like a shitty baby scratch.
  6. Nahhh, I'm all about the million quid HDMI cable buzz.
  7. Yeah it's nice to read the tale, but wouldn't be the most shadow-y of stuff in my opinion. I gave pre emptive strike a listen a few months ago, and it's fucking brilliant (yes it's a compilation, but not in that "Best of" way). It was so refreshing to me as i've rinsed it slightly less than i have Endtroducing.
  8. Driving me mental that i can't remember what the first tune on his left deck is, with the Beat this sample. I know but just can't name it. Steve pleaaaassseeeeee! **EDIT haha i'm an idiot, right at the end it says 'looking for the perfect beat' but does the original have the "beat this" in it? btw was there a thread here, or a site somewhere with the popular scratch samples and their original sources?
  9. Well done man. looking forward to seeing the full set.
  10. 1. take the jumper off the fucking snare for the video. You're miming so at least make it look less stupid. 2. Todd Rundgren's talent is really slipping.
  11. I've got a Bose, which is out of the present budget certainly. i've no experience with either, but i've read good things about the Anker one. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anker-SoundCore-Bluetooth-Playtime-Resistance/dp/B01MTB55WH/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=anker+bluetooth&qid=1561716316&s=gateway&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1 and Monoprice do some very good products for cheap. https://www.monoprice.uk/collections/headphones-earphones-audio dont actually see the speaker listed on the UK site but it's this one. https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-114447-Bluetooth-Portable-Speaker/dp/B019MITUN8 I've also seen good reviews of this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tribit-Bluetooth-Portable-Surround-Waterproof/dp/B07KXN8G6D/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=tribit+speaker&qid=1561716934&s=gateway&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1
  12. I was hoping mine was one of these, but it's not. As i'd love a new battery... I bought mine in the states in 2015 and had a nightmare sorting out a burned out Logic board issue which happened after 2 years. I left it sitting around for about a year and a half as Consumer rights dont cover this shit in the states after a year, where as under EU regulations you can get up to 7 years for reasonable use of certain products. But after a while i tried again, and thanks to Apple EU's help, they managed to convince Apple US to fix it for free. They also replaced my screen for free as there was a weird degrading issue around the black frame bit of the screen, so it didn't really affect viewing. The hardest bit was sending my laptop to the states and having to organise a mate to drop it into an apple store then collect and send back, as I couldn't just post it in for repair for some reason. So thats my long story vaguely connected to your post about batteries.
  13. I admire the chaps enthusiasm.... ...but stop fucking touching everything like you own the shit! it's a museum and should be treated as such.
  14. Yeah i bought the whole pack before when it was at 50% off. I play fuck all gigs these days, and hardly practice, i still dont know how to use most of the efx and stuff, and barely know my S9. but it's good value, and now i'm getting back into doing stuff so it's nice to have em. Just played with Flip for the first time the other day. Part of me as a DJ, doesn't want to over edit stuff I play, but i can see it being handy for intros.
  15. I just informed Moschops, as this is one of the most moschoppy opportunities ever
  16. although it's mad close I actually dont think that's the same sample. Although it's the same chord/key, the orchestration is different. thats from this i thought, at 2:16. could be wrong of course
  17. https://youtu.be/TLlej8n9e38?t=1302 beat Do Boy is using at around 21:30??? obviously familiar with it for years, and probably have it on a skratch record somewhere, anyone know what its on or what it is?
  18. I always use flight times to do a little organization. (only time i ever do) Found this CLANGER... "Mockumentary" Bruno (full name Bruno Radolini) may be the greatest alter Ego ever, and I hope it was the influence for the 2nd greatest ever... The reason I have it is it was on the Disc4/Modern part of a Motown Compilation. *PS i'm leaving the Chris Gaines image that size for impact.
  19. Only starting this because he's back, different choice of music, which i'm not crazy about, let's hope it's a ruse and his 6 mins will be another titmelter.
  20. https://youtu.be/3szdVXuRZEw?t=266 beat at 4:26 i think i've heard it before, but is it wu? or affiliate stuff like sunz of man etc?

  22. It has been on the same weekend for 12 years running tho.
  23. "Subscription only" Can you not just buy shit these days? *edit (not that i'd actually be interested in buying it....)
