Make sure you cover the basics like taking off the cartridge (if you're selling it), properly locking the tone arm and having tons of bubble wrap. You could also take off the feet so it's not stressing the feet during shipping and there is no risk to damage. The most vulnerable thing is the dust cover (assuming you're selling it), you have to be very careful with it. The Techs I bought were shipped to me in identical packages and one of them got a busted dustcover and a broken tone arm clip, and UPS was a bitch and didn't do anyting about it. It would be ideal also to get the right boxes, I'd hit up GC or something, maybe they have boxes laying around. Oh, make sure insurance is covered some how, even if you have to pay for it it's just best for both the buyer and seller. You'll never be sure how your packages are gonna be handled, but with insurance you're sure to be guarenteed something. Hope all goes smooth.
