  1. this is just one of those things a lot of people think but you just shouldnt say especially if you are in the media. i agree with tbear that it is just an opinion, but he should have kept it to himself knowing it would cause a stir. nothing really offends me though as I approach life assuming everyone on the planet is an idiot in one way or another. what burns my ass most about racism is exactly what has been said before in this topic. people exaggerate way too much and are too quick to use race as a tool to judge. its the easy way out.

  2. i drifted away from rap because of the consistently poor quality of material released by even my favorite emcees lately, but the lifesavas - spirit in stone is the nicest shit i've heard in a long long time. also anything by LA Symphony is extremely refreshing like the good old days. they are a self proclaimed christian crew but i dont find them preachy which is good saying i hate preachy fucks. i never got too much into nerd rap but i have liked some of it that i have heard. i am more of a stakes is high-gravity-midnight marauders-do you want more-soundpieces-etc type person.

  3. if the southeast regional us shit was any sort of a sign then the us sucks. i went to the shit and honestly, it was garbage. klev did his same old routine(he didnt compete, shotgun threw the shit so klev showed up thank god) and that shit killed everyone else even though it is kinda boring by now.

  4. i agree steve. i was just on a rant. haha. i think what i was trying to say is that there are authentic advances that will be accepted and then there are gimmicks that will come and go. i guess only time and trial can distinguish the two tho. when it comes to change usually all you get these days is people whining about how a portable turntable/mixer combo sucks because it won't change the octave of the flute sample they are scqkratching.

  5. my only issue with having decks setup differently from the norm is that it makes people too picky. call me old fashioned but i see kids making a stink about how they don't want to use this because they own that and all this other shit. yes, i enjoy progression like fader curve and torque and pitch adjustment but I also think there is a point where it goes too far. having extra start stops and 33/45s isnt a big deal but i just think i dunno forget it. let me just say vestax samurai and be over it. maybe vestax will make a turntable that has a motor that can move on its own and sinc with a samurai and you can just drink beer and talk to girls in the booth all night.
