  1. Yeah I got a couple sitting around too but wish I had my peripherals. I had the Bose Xbox branded surround sound and flight simulator rig. Do you know if you log in with an xbox does it DL all your game old saves? I transferred everything to Xbone before selling but IDK if it's gonna be a pain to restore. Just rambling here but wonder if they ever made a portable screen for the 360.
  2. Oh wow I didn't even realize it was still live. The 360 was so damn good. Wish I hadn't sold mine. It was a launch day model tho and shocked it made it so far. Bailed and bought a Xbone.
  3. Yeah i haven't played that one either. My older boy kinda aged out of Splatoon around when I got it but the younger is close to being able to... need to fire it up and see if he can do it.
  4. https://www.gamesradar.com/games/splatoon/the-last-splatoon-player-still-standing-after-nintendos-wii-u-shutdown-is-now-trapped-in-map-purgatory-for-the-next-ten-years/ This is pretty fascinating. Dead servers and forever lost digital games/content fascinate me as a game collector. I was pretty unhappy when they announced the 3DS/WiiU shutdown. DL'd a bunch of 3DS games that will be more or less lost forever prior to Nintendo shutting down the store. Still had a little money in there that I couldn't spend. Wish they had dropped the prices to $1 or free. Also really wish they had worked out some way for players to continue online play via P2P or allowed hobbyists to step in to provide servers. One of the bigger regrets is that I didn't find the time to DL more of the shared Mario Maker levels. Got some but not nearly as many as I'd hoped for. Welp.... RIP StreetPass, eStore and Mii Plaza.
  5. I hear ya. Been trying to get more depth to my bass and more interesting drum patterns. Easier said than done... at least for me!
  6. Fun tune man! Not what I expected at all. Sounds good!
  7. Did you see Apple apparently filed a patent modifying AirPods with electrodes that can read you mind. There have been some advancement in this type of tech and it's definitely not ready for prime time but they are getting out in front of it nonetheless.
  8. I don't see that lasting long since surely phones will have this soon. Seems neat in a mostly pointless way.
  9. Anyone know what kind does Mr. Scruff use? Thats the only gigging DJ I recall regularly using one.
  10. I agree. Games are too hard. Not all but a lot. If it has a long learning curve, requires me to be fast or remember a lot, or if I die constantly then just gonna play something else. I don't have time to be good at videogames. That all said, embarrassingly I'm playing Clash Royale lately. Largely just to beat my son and his friends. I suck but apparently used to play and am in a clan... which is weird because I don't recall that at all... maybe was during the drunken times of THE COVIDS.
  11. Both those are sweet purchases!
  12. Steve, did you see they are coming out with a Boarderlands movie? Looks pretty fun TBH!
  13. I never heard of that game. This is the first game I remember playing on a computer. We had an amber screen which was interesting since most people had green ones.
  14. Weird. Maybe it was an old story that popped up in my feed for some reason.
  15. I saw there's one coming out that looks like the Micro. Pretty fresh. Wish I'd picked up a micro back in the day. Cult following have really driven the price up. I've been enjoying the Zelda version of the Game & Watch redux. Mario one is a snore fest tho.
  16. Remember that dancing baby that made the email rounds circa 1997ish. I remember in maybe 1995 there was a foreign exchange student from Spain at our school He was pretty funny and wild. He was explaining to us "virtual sex" which I guess was sexting in chat rooms but he made it sound way cooler than was possible. GeoCities. That was something. MySpace was the worst. And interesting. It was more about how many "friends" you can acquire than actually having any sort of online presence. Interesting stage for society to realize maybe you don't want to be friends with Tia Tequila. So in the dorm circa 1998 my floor played a lot of Warcraft 3. The same idiots also liked sending "prank" viruses. This one I got permanently turned the wallpaper into this 70s necked chick with the absolute biggest bush you have ever seen. I didn't want to reinstall Windows especially since external storage was so limited so I just delt with it. Was eventually able to figure out a way to change the wallpaper but the giant bush would still appear when booting up so I would have to close the laptop as much as possible when that was happening. Sometimes in class tho I would forget or it would crash and restart which was always super embarrassing.
  17. I got internet in 1997 and remember it pretty vividly. The local newspaper had a sort of early search engine and events site that was good. Remember going to the Playboy site and you could type in random numbers behind the address to get around their paywall and DL nudie pics. Chat rooms were wild too. My handle was PimpDawg lol Napster was wild. I was in the dorms and so super fast internet + free music was wild. A friend had internet earlier than that. Pretty wild how sites would just post links to other sites they liked and that was how you found cool sites.
  18. PS I fucking hate Windows 11. The updates that break Adobe constantly and mouse lag are about to make me lose my mind. I swear this feels more like Win 3.0 than a modern OS. @TBearOne8III turned those widgits off just now so hoping that helps with the mouse lag. It's not constant lag btw just for no reason at all the entire system grinds to a snails pace. Super fun.
  19. I've never seen that happen either. Out of curiosity did you have a dehumidifier pack or cedar cubes in there? I stick those in my cases. Not sure if it actually helps but worth a try.
  20. Thats awesome. I'd looked at those and Retroid Pocket 2+ and couple others. Didn't end up getting one but they seem pretty awesome.
  21. Nailed it. I saw some deal that flipped this stuff so it was like white versions of MLK, Harriet Tubman, Malcom X, etc to highlight how ridiculous the hollywood push for anyone to play a historic role.
  22. That's crazy. Wonder if they are working out a deal to offer cross platform game pass. Gaming is clearly where they are headed. I wouldn't be surprised if they get out of the console biz all together.
