  1. I had him as a guest interview on my new radio show CUTITUP, and I told him about that one thread on here where you guys list all the samples you've identified from Phantazmagorea, haha. We also talked about his recording process, guest DJs featured on his upcoming album, a trick that Q-Bert shared with him for recovering from scratch fuckups on stage, and a bunch of other stuff. The episode with his interview aired on Dash Radio earlier tonight, and is now archived in two parts on Mixcloud. You can listen to it here: https://www.mixcloud.com/CUTITUP/ Enjoy!

  2. here's some of the samples on Moschops' new 7" version of Skratch Fossils... Firstly - this thing is LOUD. definately one of the chunkiest sounding 7" i've cut with, but without sounding over compressed or over distorted. Moschops has re-worked the sounds paying a bit more attention to some content that would have been bonus material on the original 12", and even a couple of new bonus noises. Theres a side of133.33bpm samples, but not in the ultrapitch style, pretty much the opposite! Nice long sounds, some are full 360ยบ noises that you can get scales out of if you chop em up right.... Some are half a turn, giving some nice QnA options. Moschop's mastering skills mean that these noises still work nice even at slow speeds. The other side starts at 83.33bpm and then switches to 99.99, so a 5 point pattern followed by a 3 point pattern, and you get some drums on this side too. Lock Tones on both sides, original artwork by Tops, perfectly aligned etches by Leighton Harris, and plenty of bonus material hidden among the skipless tracks. Also if anyone's wondering it's rated U Pre-orders are up now, it's expected to start shipping in a few weeks! www.cutandpasterecords.bigcartel.com

  3. Damn, I intended to post an obscure and sped up Alias scratch file and tell you how it's a waste of time to battle you guys because nobody is even on the necessary level to COMPREHEND my shit, let alone COMPETE. Maybe I'll post it tomorrow and tell you that it's so ahead of its time that you can only see the post two days later. Great work all around! ... I mean, you're all terrible at what you're doing - that doesn't only apply to scratching. Leave the game and the forums - I'd much prefer just hanging out with the spam bots! I won't respond cuz I'm above your childish ways. Peace out and stay fucked!

  6. Anyone have a link for the Prodigy's 1997 Essential Mix? Feel like reminiscing. Saw them once in Tokyo circa 1997/8 and it was great. Took some bunk acid. Never kicked in. But that was probably a good thing.

  7. Made this vid you might enjoy fuckin with! Its an interactive guided scratch session: a Q&A cutting video where we also throw out ideas and themes for you to focus on when its your turn to scratch. Hope it helps spark some variety/concepts you might not practice otherwise! ๐Ÿ‘Š

  8. Will any SP clone sound like the original? Not in a million years. There was a very clear reason why EMU stopped the production of the original: they run out of the filter chips and there is absolutely no way to find/remake those. And these filter chips are absolutely necessary for it's sound color. So, no more SP1200. This has been resurfacing every 10 years or so, until everyone realizes (again) that it's not possible to build it. However, if we are to talk about clones actually being built, I would put my money to LowHiss. He's at least not trying to make an exact clone, as he seems to grasp the limitations of the current chipsets available.

  10. Wicked cuts! Has he used any of the Easter eggs on the 12"? I'm sure I recognised one in there.
