  3. Hello, When I started scratching I thought I was the shit. I was not. It wasnt untill years later that I realized something important. I started to analyze what I was doing, so I could do it whenever I wanted, whenever. All my mistakes became my strengths. I analyzed what I was doing, I analyzed the structure of my solos - the overall shape of it: how to start, what happens in the middle, what should the end be like. It seems alot of people do not do that, its all about how to do this or that scratch. No dramaturgy So after all this some good things happened. People said I was original. Me and my man Plato met Manipulate and Maroon. I really belive that everyone can do that - just listen to yourself and analyze. Everyone has got incredible potenitial. Listen to what the fuck youre doing - everyone has their signature. Try to figure out what youre doing wrong, thats what youre doing right. Goethe (google him), said that when you're in your youth you should focus on details. Small things like poems about one particular flower. Larger works should be postponed till later years. I think he's right. dramaturgy

  5. I've been listening to Marcus B "Gone with the Spin" and John Doe "AM Sessions". Both very dope. I've also been indoctrinating my 3-year old with The Police and that seems to be working pretty good.

  6. Oh my god, you've found the Dr. Fishbein record! That has been a secret weapon of mine since 1996! I used to drop that all the time and people would be like "what's that record?"

  8. The Stormzy LP. it's really good, at first I was blown away but after a bit I'd say a little over half of it is truly stand out and the rest just good. Might still change my opinion though!

  9. great finds Dan! Maybe we need a new "funny/awful" covers thread as opposed to just dope artwork?

  11. Anyone still working on this, I think this would be good for my practice, when I get a chance to that is. I think I could contribute my skills, I work as a software dev so I may be of use for something around here.

  15. No man, I never even saw the boxed set - I just had individuals. I had the red ones (South Park samples) and the blue ones (Jerry Springer samples) but I can't remember what else. I only remember those because we used them in a 3 man routine (which was sketchy as fuck in retrospect, but we hadn't been cutting more than about 6 months so it was probably better than it had any right to be!)

  16. leighton's release is actually the thnig that made me and D realize it was possible to get this shit done, so that answers the question pete asked it was man o war and plenty of encouragement and inspiration from various csg related encounters

  17. Well I'm not sure how the fuck you managed that. The URL needs to be that of the image itself, not of Google saying "there might be an image here". http://ecx.images-am...L500_AA300_.jpg it was that ^ Step by step: Google what you're looking for on Google Images Click on the image you want. A new website will appear with the image in a big window Right click on the image and select "Copy image URL" or whatever your browser calls it If that copied text ends in .jpeg or .png there's a good chance that it's an image If it ends in "&w=300&h=300&ei=_t20T6zpLomr0QX6_ZD3Dw&zoom=1" it's probably not an image Proceed from step two in my previous instructions.
