It's not showing up through the Service Center, but you can get it from the NI website by going to Support - Downloads.

This update doesn't fix some of the issues I was having in 2.5. FLAC tags are still broken. If you have leading zeros in track numbers (01, 02, 03 etc.), Traktor removes the zeros. If you use letters in your track numbers (A1, A2, B1, B2 etc. - as I do for vinyl rips), Traktor removes the track number altogether. WANK.

Also, it seems it's lost its ability to count: -

Artists/Releases/Genres is showing as 2, when there's clearly just 1 of each.

Native Instruments are fucking wank.

I reported the tag issue that existed in 2.5 and they said it would be fixed for the next version. It wasn't.

I reported the issue again and a guy from NI emailed me asking all kinds of questions and asking for screen shots and sample MP3/FLAC files and stuff, so I sent him all the info. 2 weeks later he replied saying that he would not escalate this issue to be fixed because it wasn't important enough.

Let me just say this... Everything in music works in cycles - just when you think it's the most uncool thing in the world, it makes a comeback. Here's your chance to beat the rush... One word - Trance

Yeah, the Serato folks are really responsive to feedback. People have been asking for FLAC support for fucking years and it still doesn't have it.

I'm not sticking up for NI here but with that beast of a PC you just made I'm sure you could leave a batch converter on overnight and convert to ALAC with pretty perfect results - Traktor doesn't seem to have a problem with ALAC.

I love Chris

The exact same bug exists with ALAC. I've just tried it.

Tracks with leading zeroes in the track numbers have the leading zero removed (not a major issue, but still annoying). Tracks with a letter in the track number have the enter track number removed so that the field is blank, which is really annoying.

It shouldn't be fucking with your tag info like this.

Native Instruments' tech support is a fucking joke. I'm tempted to post the entire conversation I've had with them via email over the last 8 or 9 days.

With the first couple of emails, the guy didn't understand WTF I was talking about even though I explained the issue in plain English, with screenshots and with sample MP3 and FLAC files. Then he spent a few emails trying to convince me that there was no problem, based on him misunderstanding what the actual problem was. Once he was left with no choice but to agree that there was a problem, he said it wasn't important enough to fix. When I said that that was a bit of a shitty attitude, he tried to claim that competing products also have the same issues and asked me to prove that they didn't, and then they might fix it! LOL. I proved that Serato doesn't have the same problem, then he went back to misunderstanding what the problem is again.

It honestly felt like either I was talking to the dumbest man on Earth, or that maybe the ghost of Jeremy Beadle was going to pop out and say "gotcha! We're just winding you up mate!". FUCKING USELESS.

Always felt like the trade off with NI - loadsa features, some buggy. Serato, few features - super stable.
Recently I've been doing some small amounts of coding in Python and frankly I'm amazed at how anyone codes things like Ableton, Serato or Traktor. I have a new found respect for software developers!

It's not so much the bugs that I'm bothered about - although they are a concern, but Traktor 2.5 was a major update so bugs were to be expected - it's the fucking CUNTS at NI that are pissing me off. I've been dealing with the same guy all along and he emailed me this afternoon to say that he cannot confirm the issue that I reported, even though he already did confirm it via email over a week ago and we have sent about 20 emails back and forth discussing it!!!

Even if someone from DV said "let's pretend to work for Native Instruments to wind Steve up", they couldn't do as good a job as this guy I'm talking to.

I didn't even know Jeremy Beadle is dead!

RIP Jeremy.
