When you say 'sounds like', do you mean with regards to the clicks or the actual sound quality? If your mixer is running audio directly through the crossfader circuitry then I don't think you can use an Innofader, it's only a replacement for faders that work as voltage control parts for the audio circuit. Oh and because it's contactless there's not really any chance of dirt or anything creating a bad connection and spiking the voltage to get broken sound like there is on a dodgy PCV for instance.

I'm thinking of getting a Nuo 2.0 and putting an Innofader in there. I like Ecler mixers and the Nuo 2.0 has everything I need in a small form factor and at a good price. You can drop an Eternal into it, but they're even more expensive than the Innofader.

steve i dont know how lanky your fingers are, but the one thing i found with the nuo 2 was that the up faders were really close to the cross fader, so i kept snagging my finger on the up fader. other than that its a dope mixer.

The biggest con imo (only a con for certain mixers tho) its set up time on the non-plug and play ones. This might only be rane mixers tho, but it took me like 3 hours to set each fader up in that as opposed to 20mins in my vestax and I've set them up numerous times.
Iirc you shouldn't have the setup issue with an ecler. Even if you did I would still recommend it, cuz it's 1 time setup for the smoothest fader ever, and you're less retarded than me so probs wouldn't take as long anyways.

Setting up the cut-in on the innofader can be annoying the first time and some mixers accept it better than others. My XS-8 was a bitch to setup. I'm not 100% on this but I believe you lose the ability to use your mixer's cut adjustments "on the fly", or maybe that's just my mixer. There's a more expensive inno that has external adjustments.
It will never be as buttery as the eternal fader.
The good things are:
1. You can move it from mixer to mixer.
2. Elliot (the creator) is very supportive and will work through any issues you have with it. My XS-8 was the guinea pig for the innofader adapter.

It only over-rides your mixers cut adjustments on certain mixers/certain setup types. Any mixers that are "plug and play" should still work, like Vestax etc. I think they still work on Rane too but I set mine up differently so now they still do stuff but not what they're supposed to.
I've tried my inno and an eternal side by side and my inno's quite a bit quicker/smoother. It could've been a case of the eternal I was using not being maintained/lubed tho. I've also felt innofaders that were not as nice as others too. I'd like to feel an eternal that was lubed and such to see how it was.
