Jimmy Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 that happened to me aswell steve with my motown mix. so i tried again with no track list and took out the song they mentioned. and its stil happened!! they just mentioned another track i used. i think it must be to do with the wave form or something. I thought I could get around it by using pastebin to store the track listing, then just linking to that, but it does seem like they're analysing the actual waveform. Steve Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 Of the 6 mixes I've uploaded, that's the only one that was blocked automatically. I can understand why they do it, but I still think it's a good service. MixCloud is good too. They don't seem to block mixes for copyright reasons and there doesn't seem to be a limit to how many mixes you can upload for free. The downsides are that there's no download option and that there's a 100MB file size limit. The best one of all seems to be MixCrate as you get unlimited storage, 190MB file size limit per mix and people can stream and download your mixes. Wax On Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 I think the reasons for mixcloud not blocking for copyright are 2 fold; You can't DL the mixes, and if you upload a tracklisting then people can buy the tunes, therefore it monetizes the music for the artist.
