AndyHiams
I watched a tutorial recently which provided a handy if not slightly lazy way of mixing a 130bpm with a 170bpm track. It involves creating a loop/echo and then moving the Bpm whilst in the loop/echo. Is there a specific function on the Z2 for this? Cheers, Andy
DJ Rock Well
Not a clue I'm afraid. But if it does exist, I bet djtechtools.com have covered it. I'd start by looking there mate, they've rinsed the possibilities of Traktor
Jon
Use ultra pitch or the internal deck pitch on a high pitch range setting (does traktor have that?)
AndyHiams
Cool yes there was a guy who helped me out mapping some Dicers via my Z2. I may give it a go myself if I'm feeling adventurous this weekend!
AndyHiams
Imagine one button to apply a loop and effect then another to sync bpm with the incoming track or perhaps a manual adjustment to make it a more gradual increase or decrease. jam1chicago
you could drop the loop then change them tempo gradually by hand til you get to your target tempo then mix as normal.. or you could map an encoder to control a decks tempo.. I created a modifier where if I hold down the little gear icon at the top of my mixer and rotate my loop encoders, they would change the deck tempo of whatever deck I wanted, and whenever I'm NOT holding it down aka normal use, the loop encoders work as normal
trevor dane
easy just hit play to take the signal or whatever off the turntable it will continue playing but now you will have control of the pitch on the computer
trevor dane
and you can adjust the setting to like 100% in preferences, before i could aford decks i mapped the remix deck volume level knobs as tempo control and it worked perfect
