JDDX2R Portable Fader

Recommended Posts

I talked with Flip about it and he said it just feels solid, no cracks or pops and makes the raiden fader seem cheap and plastic. apparently the fader is adapted from a vested vci 300.

Aside from the double cut which i really liked, I have yet to test it myself.

well the raiden is cheap and plasticy and pops (or mine is at least) so that's cool to hear. If I was very good at cutting I'd defo grab one.

Got a chance to try it last night with Jesse Dean himself and it definitely feels how a crossfader should feel with 2 rails. It isn't optical or magnetic and still has strips of contact, but is copper instead of carbon. The copper strips have a protective coating that I think protects from oxidation. Very light feel and cut is sharp. I'd have to have one for at least a week to give it a stamp of approval, but from what I tried yesterday, it seems like a solid portable fader.

Nice feedback thx. I have yet to buy a fader, my handytrax is loney. Still waiting for any news on the raiden innofader version. I will even take one that needs a battery to run, as long as it is nice. #fadersnob

it is clearly a metal case in the videos/pictures

nops - that's a pretty standard hard plastic enclosure. I'd love to see some metal casings though <3

So what exact color is the engraved part? It looks silver in a lot of pictures/videos.

I'd signed up but was gonna probably pass on actually buying one. As luck would have it I won a couple hundo betting on golf so had money in my paypal account when the charge came thru. Pretty excited because my Raiden is really taken a beaten despite the mild use.

Eagerly awaiting mine! The raiden innofader will probably be sold out early, and I'm at the rare point in my life where I actually have some disposible income (even after saving), so I thought I'd check it out and maybe try the raiden innofader aswell if i can get a hold if one.

If it doesn't pop, or pops noticably lower than the raiden, then it's an automatic win by me. I don't mind the popping of the raiden as much either, considering I only use it for travelling.

I got mine a couple days ago but not had time to try it yet. Construction seems sturdy but lighter than I had thought--thought the body was metal.
