  1. He comes across like a nob and explains it in such a corny, condescending bullshit way. buuuuuuuuuut underneath the horseshit, he has a point. I think scratching is one of the only artforms that got way worse as the technical side of things improved. Half of the really really good scratchers can't scratch for shit now. They seem to have no idea how to actually scratch. I start listening to their videos and I turn off after like 10 seconds cause there is nothing else I have any interest in hearing. It's just a barage of boringness. Beyond sloppy scratching, simple scratching etc. the absolute worst type of cutting for me is boring cutting. And it seems that there is now only a handfull of scratchers who ain't boring. But that handfull are fucking dope because they have incorporated the technique and still try to sound nice. As for Milennials. You can all suck my ballbag. The only reason I have any time for any millenials, is boning the chicks, cause old ass chicks my age look like shit.
  2. If I'm playing house/techno/disco to a heavily drug influenced crowd then playing long sets are great. I love them. But if it's bar gigs or hip hop, funk, etc. Then I never want to play more than 2 or 3 hours. The crowds are are way less interesting and you have to play hits/bangers to keep their attention. I have no interest in playing 8 hours of bangers.
  3. Can't even lie. This is genuinely some of the best electro scratching I have ever heard. SOme unfathomable stuff in there. Jesus.
  4. I've heard the same thing about the Ruck I met the ruck in real life. I'd done a lot of drugs. I probably will keep this story to myself. haha.
  5. It's a quote from the Movie Cape Fear Joe.
  6. 80th? That is legit high level djing man. Why aye.
  7. Yeah man that would be even better, but I thought you said they were too pricey? Those ones are only 800 euro whereas the 2000 Nx ones are like 2500 euro. These are probs still too pricey for them like but I'll let them know. @Jon. Some people play with CD too. Really it's just whether to fork out for Pioneer or whether Gemini or Denon would do.
  8. So very lastly man, what about this Pioneer CDJ 850 k that does support Rekordbox? http://www.pioneerdj...black/overview/
  9. Thanks for the help man. How about this one that supports that program? http://www.pioneerdj.com/en/product/player/cdj-850/black/overview/ It's only a bar so they ain't gonna be booking big names n stuff. They ain't gonna drop 4k on 2 CD players. You know anything about the Gemini 700 or 1000. I can see they are clearly pioneer rip offs. You know if they are any good?
  10. Easy men A bar here in berlin have asked me to help sort their DJ system out and I'm trying to help them do it as cheap as posss but still good kit. They have a decent mixer sorted and 2 technics 1210s. However a lot of the guys play house/techno and like to play off USB with CDJs, but I think the CDJ 850s are about 800 Euros each. WHat I was wondering, is there a good alternative to Pioneer CDJs that are just as good to play off? The same responsiveness off the platter, build quality etc? Or are the Pioneers just that much better? (I don't know as I never play off CDs). The other thing is that the other DJ's will all play off Pioneer CDJs everywhere else so it needs to be something they can come in and feel comfortable using straight away. (Hence why I mentioned the platter needs to work well etc). I'm looking around other forums too but can't find much recent info. Any feedback would be wicked guys. Cheers
  11. He is the one that will get you famous. Give him a payrise.
  12. Man. I have like 6 bad hair days to one good. 6 Days of misery for one day of happiness is not worth it. You are lucky to not have t endure this shit
  13. I thought this thread was gonna be about when you have a good hair day. The shit just falls into place. What a treat.
  14. Ehm. Dirk and Pete. I didn't really produce tribe and busters records. I did the scratching on some tiny 500 press UK hip hop Haha.
  15. Also guys, I saw loads of my vinyl is up now if you want to look? http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?q=furryrecords&ev=sr Loads of classic hip hop, rare funk, soul, disco etc.
