no, not the reset button, the one between the pitch slider near the bit where the tone arm is connected to the base... (can't believe i can't think of a better way of describing that...)

actually it looks like it has X2 written on it so maybe it's to change the pitch to +16

I did like the recent comment from Technics that these definitely aren't aimed at DJs... Sure, because if you're a hifi nerd with 3 grand to drop on a turntable, a 1200 with pitch control will be your first port of call! :)

Maybe the Brand sums up but in any way hipsters for sure.

Looks like the quartz lock button. This started with the M3D and carried over to future models.

 

 

 

Back in 94 or something they released the first Gold Edition for consumers wich also had a reset quartz lock button.

The M3Ds came out in 97.
