Steve Posted October 30, 2012 Share Posted October 30, 2012 In Windows 8, Metro apps have nice looking tiles on the main Metro start screen, while non-Metro apps just have shortcuts that look like this: - A guy on XDA Developers has made a free app that allows you to create Metro-style tiles for non-Metro apps called OblyTile: - http://i.minus.com/iLQ15AN9TOT3a.jpg http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1899865 It's dead easy to use. You just give your tile a name, select the path to the program you're creating a tile for, then select the image and colour you want to use for the tile. Here's some tiles that I made for Windows Live Mail, Opera and Steam: - Removing tiles is easy - Just right-click and select the option to remove it, as you would with any other Metro tile.
