Steve
If you put a link to a GIFV file hosted on Imgur into a post, it will now automatically embed, like this: - http://i.imgur.com/zvATqgs.gifv You might not be able to see it, depending on the browser you're using. These files can have audio, but I've set it so they're always muted by default. You can right click on one and enable the audio (assuming it has it - the example above does not). Frost
So is it like a HD gif? Never heard of it before.
Steve
The size limit for GIFs on Imgur used to be something like 2MB (it might have been 4 - I can't remember exactly). Now you can upload GIFs that are up to 50MB in size and they are automatically converted to GIFV format, which basically compresses the GIF and turns it into a movie. doppelkorn
Is that what FB uses now? You know how the videos only play when you scroll over them?
Steve
No, they're using a script so that when you scroll too far past a video it stops playing. Seems to work with all kinds of content including YouTube.
