Great battle once again. I found this one harder to find a sample that jumped out at me and then remembered this morning that i had looped a bit up so i threw a new break on it and bang :) 60s sleaze vibes.

I went for flexi, real nice rave vibes which is cool considering the source :)

While it seems like a mutual fuck fest, I had to go with Sy cause Finesse kicks ass !!!

haha, so..... putting lord finesse over a beat is like the biggest thing in music production since sidechain compression

Hehe-

as long as you don't end up making a record as atrocious as 'The Rockafeller Skank' by sampling Lord Finesse you'll be absolutely fine..

I'm still officially undecided, but I really do apppreciate Doob and Fayc's effort. Well, except for the fact that vocals were recorded with that seems to be sub-potato. You've got to retrack outside of this battle with a half decent mic, or even some misused headphones FFS... I'd love to know what the other half of the lyrics are ;)

Really great choice of material this month courtesy of Sir Lord Rockwell, just so much to choose from I think I might have to revisit it and sample some more from it for future beats.

Flex - Nice one turning the samples into a rave kind of vibe, really liking the style, flow and flip of this track. One of your best beats yet mate, looking forward to your next entry!

Wax On - Really great work Wax On with the samples and loving the different genre approach as well. Just a shame house music isn't really my thing but I’m still digging the flip, excellent work.

Rockwell - Dope to see you flip the same part as me in a different style mate, it’s to a nice relaxing head nodding feel and defiantly got that lazy Sunday afternoon summer scratch kind of vibe feeling to your beat.

Doob & Fayc – Dope beat and all round fantastic effort dudes, really stellar work with flip just the shame the vocals were recorded on a shitty podcast mic. Would of got my vote if the vocals sounded legible, there where parts where I had to go back to make out what Fayc was rhyming about, but apart from that wicked stuff. Oh welcome back to the beat battle Fayc.

Symatic - Really loving this beat Sy, loving that sleazy 60s porn vibe your bring to to the battle. Even without the Lord Finesse acapella this bangs harder then pornhub. Fantastic work man!

Really tough job picking one for voting for as everyone did a great job with this battle but my vote goes to…………….. Symatic

Congrats man :8

It's deffo all Fayc's fault. What kind of MC doesn't even have a mic any way? lol

Fixed some bad mixing decisions with the vocals so they're prob a bit clearer (still sound like shit though). Was going for an Edan kind of effect but might of over done it -_-. But yeah we have every intention of re-recording them so I didn't wanna waste too much time ponsing around with it.

Can't remember who I voted for, think it was Rockwell... I like his mixes, they sound nice n warm :)

So good! Came down to Flexi and Rock for me. Rock's composition was beautiful. Flexi had me head nodding. I went back and forth but eventually settled on Rock. Well done guys!

where's the original sample?

might not still be there.....

I went with Si in the end. I listened to that sample myself but was convinced it wasn't quite hip hop enough... enter Si with just the right drums and Lord Finesse vocal and how wrong I was!

was funny cos that was the first random beat i threw on man and it went really well. just turned round and grabbed a copy of breaktionary and mixed it in, and removed the stabs cos they were out of tune.... but yeah, luck of the needle drop entirely :)

I thought this months source material was a wicked choice btw Rock... :8

i'm gonna have a bash at sampling some of the lp too when i'm finished with this contract at work ..there's some super dope shizzle on there for sure.
