Jon
So glad I held out that bit longer to upgrade my iMac. I'll be going for one of the regular ones as the Pros seem way too much for my needs as an audio person (and too expensive as they start at £5k, geeeez) , but damn those specs! https://www.apple.com/uk/imac-pro/
Deft
Have they killed the standard Mac Pro? I thought they were going to sort that out soon.
Chris
The refresh is starting to make sense again, the MacBook and MacBook Pro touchbarless models aren't silly money just 'Apple prices' for decent grunt for most people, and the new iMacs are definitely nice - well done for waiting out ha! The Mac Pro is being refreshed next year with a modular design, I believe. With the iMac pro fixing most audio, graphics, and low level video needs, I wonder whether they're going to make it a super computer and aim at taking back share in motion graphics and vfx industry? iexist
Apple is moving back into the realm of being unaffordable. The new iMacs are finally packing some real needed power.
Deft
I always liked the iMac form factor, and a £5k model at least puts it on my reassuringly expensive list. I can't face using a new O/S though.
Flexinoodle
Apple are dicks, they are so transparent, move the MacOS stuff back in to silly prices, and the iPad Pro starts to become more viable to a lot of people, first steps of usable file structuring and multi tasking, apps like Affinity starting to hit the store, we are definitely on the end road of MacOS, no idea how long that road is, but we are on it.Hack FTW

I don't think it'll come in gold though. This may be an issue for you.
