Weird seeing those on CD (especially Secret Life of Plants)!

The digital remasters of his classic 1970s lp's sound really nice JB !

I don't play these cd's very much at all so I thought I'd dust them off and give em' a listen for a change

Everyone I know who's into Stevie seems to choose lp's such as Songs In The Key Of Life or Innervisions as the one's they like most of all but I actually love his early material best, the 'For Once In My Life' album is fucking brilliant, no one can ever knock that record in my opinion.

Stevie's the man !

Word. I still buy em, CDs have gotten crazy cheap these days. I'm just a little surprised some of those were even issued on disc. Songs in the Key of Life, yes, but Secret Life of Plants is something I never expected to see on CD.

  • 1 year later...

Been listening to the new Lee Fields & The Expressions lp 'It Rains Love' on Big Crown Records over the last few days..lovely stuff!.. :)

And i also got the 'Second To None' album by the U.K. Soul band HardKandy which I think is pretty dope although I admittedly know absolutely nothing about them whatsoever! .

The record was released in S2008 but I've never come across it before..theres some cool Curtis Mayfield style vibes on display here.

Link for the full lp.
