Steve
Microsoft removed the smart files feature from OneDrive in Windows 10, so your only option is to choose which folders you want to sync which means that you no longer get the "online only" option. Unless you choose to sync all of your OneDrive folders, which means all of the folders and files are also stored locally on your PC, you won't be able to see the entire contents of your OneDrive without logging in via the website. Mapping OneDrive as a network drive is a solution to that.1. Log into OneDrive in a web browser and open any folder. You'll see the address in the URL bar change to something like this: - https://onedrive.live.com/?id=E93D63743693D934%8239&cid=E93D63743693D934&group=02. Take just the characters in between the first = sign and the % symbol and add them to the end of this link: - https://d.docs.live.net/So, you you should end up with something like this: - https://d.docs.live.net/E93D63743693D9343. Open File Explorer and click on the Computer tab. Hit the "Map network drive" button. A new window will open. Choose a drive letter for your network drive, then paste the link you created in step 2 into the "Folder" box. Check both of the checkboxes below that and then hit OK. After a few seconds you'll be prompted to enter your login info for OneDrive, so do that and check the box to remember the info and you're done. You'll now have a new drive showing in File Explorer, which you can right-click and rename to something more convenient: -http://i.imgur.com/nCxTeUv.jpgWhen you browse that drive, you'll have access to all of your OneDrive files without them taking up space on your PC: -http://i.imgur.com/DEpxJxg.jpg
Deft
I haven't thought very hard about this, but presumably when I run OneDrive on my tablet and phone it doesn't sync anything unless I try accessing the file? But I can see them all innit.
