Jon
Oh hai - I recently bought one of kristian gjerstad's controller one mods for the pdx3000 and thought i'd share! It's super simple to install. It allows you to play a number of different scales over a few octaves, and tune the root note up or down in semitones. info: http://kristiangjerstadmusic.com/ Here's a lil video of me testing it out: https://www.instagram.com/p/BfGdVJaghpg/?taken-by=jon1st

Guest It'sPhilFromThursdays
Nice Jonny 1. Oooo, sweet, it's got modes on it! This looks like a cream dream for all right tighies with a 3000, mucho tempation, shame the amount of notes it costs is quite a lot of notes. What's the build quality on it and what do the buttons feel like, Jon, is it tough as balls or soft as nuts? Please rate it on that scale, it's all i know. Guest Symatic
it's really not much compared to a controller 1, even when they were new. pdx 2000 + backtrack midi mod + midi buttons is still less than some people sell a 1210 for!
Dubba Dutchdj
Super tempted by this, if it had a simple display or alternatively an incremental encoder for root note/scale selection Id be all over it in a heart beat.Currently I use maschine for midi note stuff, which is insanely dope, huge choice of scales and ability to record midi sequences etc... got it set up so it sends midi to Traktor at the same time to enable re triggering of samples as well as pitch changes. Using maschine like this makes for super flexible dj/production workflow.I really enjoy midi note stuff for working out things with the freedom to go anywhere in key, but once Ive got a melody locked I bounce the notes out as one shots in to remix decks as I find that root so much easier for live stuff.

I got a C1 but would love to mod one of my PDX's to midi (I got 5 of these fucks) via the Backtrack-Midi-Mod. Anybody did this mod on their own (by making a kit on their own since Backtrack don't make them no more)?
