DJ Rock Well
Yep ripping vinyl is thankless and flawed Except for those rarities and singles a d stuffYou missed the key word -"old"!!! Ripping them when new is a wise and manageable task. But when you've used and abused them for years or picked secondhand stuff in playable but not perfect condition, the odd soft click that doesn't bother you when listening has a terrible habit of spiking the shit out of recording levels and fucking up levels, etc. I do agree that there's always lots of records you just can't find digitally though, especially those ones you pick up that don't really declare what they are on the label. When you've known them simply by sight of the label for years, putting their name in a search engine isn't easy
danswift
step 1)Just play crusty C-90 cassettes of dusty old hip hop and pre 1980's Funk.step 2)Tell everyone to go fuck themselves if they can't handle it that you're in charge.step 3)Put Cypress Hill on first.

Buy all the easy-to-come-by stuff on digital and rip the exclusive stuff (of which there won't be a great deal, in my case).
djdiggla
This is dated (Last update Dec 2015) and the links might be dead now but I got a lot of mashups here. http://mashupyourbootz.blogspot.com/Some are really great some are total shit.
Steve
A tip if you use MusicBee..... You can always grab the latest beta version here: - http://musicbee.niblseed.com/V3_1/MusicBee31_Patched.zip Then, with MusicBee closed, just extract the contents of that zip to MusicBee's installation directory, overwriting the files that are already there, and you're done. An updated zip file will be available via that same link every few days, sometimes every day. I wouldn't typically recommend running beta software over a stable build, but in this case the developer is really on the ball. As main builds are only released every few months, betas often contain multiple new features and bug fixes that aren't in the main build available on the regular download page.
joeClockwork
Nice one, thanks for that. I've been reading up on MusicBee in previous threads so I'll give it a go soon and bear this in mind. Cheers!
